Taroko is the first company in Asia to develop protective eyewear with polycarbonate (PC) injection molding. With years of experience it succeeded in applying high viscous PC to military goggles and became a certified supplier by US Department of Defense. It further overcame the poor heat resistance of heat-sensitive absorbers and successfully produced the laser and infrared (IR) protective lenses. Integrating polishing technique with optics in tool design, Taroko developed spherical, cylindrical, and toric lenses and produced the first toric IR faceshield in Asia.
