Dan (Dhanit) Banga

Dan completed his Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (with Distinction) from the Australian National University and has practised in property and commercial law since 2015. Previously he worked as a Legal Executive for two years in a boutique law firm in New Delhi, India specialising in commercial litigation. Dan principally advises clients in residential and commercial property sales and purchases. In addition, Dan advises on commercial leases, business sales and assists in drafting and giving advice. His primary focus is assisting his clients in achieving cost-effective and viable legal outcomes. Dan prides himself in providing commercial solutions in a timely manner and obtaining the best outcomes for his clients in their negotiations. Outside of work, Dan is a keen hiker and an avid reader of philosophical texts as well as non-fiction works.

Mark Phillips

Mark Phillips was born in Canberra and has been practicing law in the Canberra region for more than 39 years. Mark specialises in wills, estate planning, disputed estates, conveyancing and property matters and his practice also encompasses commercial and business law matters, property development and advice. Paramount to Mark's client service philosophy is building strong personal relationships with clients, ensuring an understanding of their real needs and expectations and assisting in the decision making process to the benefit and satisfaction of his clients. His commitment to his clients and his expertise in his chosen specialty area was proven by recognition by the Real Estate Institute of the ACT, as a finalist for Solicitor of the Year at the Awards for Excellence 2008. Mark was previously a member of the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of the ACT for over 10 years. He is also an Ambassador and honorary legal adviser of the Capital Arts Patrons Organisation (CAPO), a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising money for distribution to Canberra's arts community. He is a past member of the Succession & Elder Law Committee of the Law Society of ACT and a regular presenter at seminars and meetings, and a Notary Public for the Australian Capital Territory. Mark also acts as Executor where appropriate in many of his client's Wills.

Rebecca Tesic

Rebecca was admitted into practice as a solicitor in 2003 and has practised in a diverse range of legal areas acting for individuals, businesses and other commercial clients. She understands the need to obtain appropriate commercial outcomes in otherwise complex business transactions. After joining Symons Phillips in 2010, Rebecca worked closely with former partner Nick Symons to develop and expand the property and commercial area of the firm, principally in the area of commercial leasing. Rebecca subsequently joined Mark Phillips as a partner of Symons Phillips in early 2012. With a family business background in property, Rebecca is well acquainted with the practical aspects of property transactions and business transactions. Rebecca regularly acts for both landlords and tenants in all areas of commercial leasing in addition to commercial property conveyancing, commercial transactions involving the sale of shares, businesses, franchises and related matters. Rebecca also acts for real estate agencies in relation to sales of their businesses, sales and purchases of rent rolls and providing general advice and has a strong connection with the local business community. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Canberra. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University prior to being admitted to the ACT Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia.
