The Tax Complex was founded in 1995 by Kenneth H. Jones, Frances F. Goldman, and Cindy T. Greer, who worked together for many years in the Richmond Trust Tax Department of NationsBank (now Bank of America). Over the years the company has grown; in 2007 James T. Short was made a partner.
