SYLVIA PITCHER

This Library, based in London, has one of the finest collections of Blues photographs dating from the early 1960s onwards. Also included are Jazz, Country, Bluegrass and Cajun musicians. The photographs were taken during performance, backstage and in more informal surroundings. In addition are music related subjects such as clubs and concert halls, views such as New Orleans, Chicago, Nashville, Memphis and back-country scenes, for instance railroad crossings, advertising signs, shacks and the downright quirky in other words more small town America rather than the more obvious touristy spots... The Sylvia Pitcher Photolibrary contains a fine collection of American Blues musicians, Country artists, and a wide range of music related photographs. Picture requests are welcome.
