Ed Ellis - President

Ed Ellis, President/General manager, and James Cheatham, Vice President Engineering, have been guiding the company over the last three decades and still manage the company on a daily basis. During this period Team Manufacturing has grown from a small punch press operation to a 35,000 sq. ft. facility, housing assembly, automated welding, a large tooling and machine shop, over two dozen presses ranging from 30 to 500 tons, and various machine operations that produce parts daily as well as ship to meet your needs. Ed Ellis, President and General Manager. A graduate from UCLA with a BS in Engineering, Ed started his career with the Southern California Edison Company designing new computer applications. Ed also spent time working for a large computer network service company, holding positions from Tech. Manager to District Manager. Seeking for more of a challenge, Ed moved on to VP of Marketing in a computer applications start up company. Wanting to make a difference and offer what was lacking in most manufacturing companies -- a personal touch -- Ed Ellis along with James Cheatham and Charles Naman established Team Manufacturing, Inc. in 1975. Today Ed and Jim are still at the helm of the company, continuing to instill a personal touch while conducting business.

James Cheatham, VP of Engineering. Jim's vision to partner with individuals who wanted to work together in a team environment became a reality when he joined forces with Ed Ellis. Thanks to this unique partnership, Team Manufacturing has for the past 28 years partnered with its suppliers and a talented workforce to create a true team to meet customers needs. James Cheatham attended Los Angles Trade Technical Collage where he studied the art of Design and Tool Making. Jim worked at several manufacturing companies in Southern California utilizing his skills in design and tool building. At the tender young age of 26, Jim left his position at US Metalmasters as Tool-Room Foreman to join forces with his current partner, Ed Ellis, to form Team Manufacturing.
