Commenced my own business -"T.T. Truck & Trailer Equipment Services P/L", which was involved in the modification of light & heavy trucks & trailers including wheelbase modifications, fitment of additional axles & suspension equipment , dual steering conversions & "twin" steer conversions & body building/manufacture of tray, van & tipper bodies. . Our company also designed & manufactured "specialised' trailer units & sold , fitted & distributed suspension & axle & wheel /rim equipment, bull-bars, tailgate loaders & hydraulic PTO/pump equipment Employed up to 18 staff during the period & represented the company & industry on the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association & various industry & standards committees. My duties included overseeing all design & manufacture of our products & obtaining relevant approvals where necessary with Roads & Traffic Authority & various national & state bodies for our products...
