A. Bennett Evers

A. Bennett Evers is a Partner at the law firm of Todd & Johnson, LLP, practicing in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, probate and trust litigation, and guardianships and conservatorships. Bennett also handles most real property-related matters. Bennett graduated from the University of Georgia, magna cum laude, in 2007 with an Artium Baccalaureus in Anthropology, a minor in Horticulture, and a Certificate of African Studies. Bennett received a Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2011, and is admitted to practice in South Carolina. After law school Bennett served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Amy W. McCulloch and the Honorable Jacqueline D. Belton. Prior to joining Todd & Johnson, LLP, he was in practice with his grandfather Allan E. Fulmer Sr. and uncle Allan E. Fulmer Jr. at Allan E. Fulmer, Attorney, P.A. for nine years. He is a member of the Richland County and Lexington County Bar Associations and the Columbia Estate Planning Council. Bennett is originally from Chapin, South Carolina, and is married to the former Mary Kendrick Lewis of Athens, Georgia. They have two daughters Virginia and Annie. They currently live in Columbia, South Carolina and are members at Shandon Methodist.

Albert C. Todd

Todd & Johnson, L.L.P was founded in Columbia in 1980 by the late Al Todd and Steve Johnson with the goal of providing exceptional legal services in the areas of estate planning, trusts, and probate law. Today, our firm has offices in Columbia and Mount Pleasant and carries on the original vision of our founders by focusing on matters involving those same areas of law.

Dawn D. Clark

Dawn D. Clark is a partner with the firm and practices in the areas of estate planning, taxation, corporate formations, estate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships. Dawn graduated from the College of Charleston cum laude in 1992. After receiving her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996, she obtained a Master of Law in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1997. Dawn originally worked in the firm's Columbia office, but having grown up in Charleston, she wanted to return to the Lowcountry. In 2001, Dawn opened the firm's office in Mt. Pleasant where she currently practices. Dawn has spoken to various business, professional and civic groups on issues related to estate planning and taxation.

John D. Kornegay III

John Dunbar Kornegay III, "Johnny", is an attorney with Todd and Johnson, LLP. Johnny focuses his practice on estate planning; estate and trust administration; business entity formation; and guardianship/conservator matters. He is licensed to practice law in both South Carolina and North Carolina.

Jonathan E. Spitz

Jonathan E. Spitz is a partner with the firm and represents clients in matters involving estate planning and administration; probate litigation; guardianship and conservatorship issues; and corporate formation. Jonathan graduated from Wofford College and received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law where he served as a research assistant to Professor Ginny Meeks. After law school, Jonathan clerked for the Honorable Amy W. McCulloch, Probate Judge for Richland County and has his Masters of Laws Degree in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law. Jonathan has been selected as a "Rising Star" in the area of Estate Planning and Probate in the 2018 and 2019 editions of Super Lawyers as well a 2019 Member "Legal Elite of the Midlands" by the Columbia Business Monthly Magazine in the field of "Tax & Estate Planning Law." Jonathan is Certified by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Specialist in Estate Planning & Probate Law. Currently, Jonathan also serves as a member of the Wofford Alumni Association Board of Directors.

W. Steven Johnson

W. Steven Johnson is a partner in the law firm of Todd & Johnson, L.L.P. which firm has offices located in Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina. The firm was formed by Mr. Johnson and the late Albert C. Todd III in 1980. Mr. Johnson has practiced continuously in such firm from the firm's formation to the present. His practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning and probate law. Mr. Johnson has received the honor of being listed for 10+ years in the Trust and Estate specialty field of The Best Lawyers in America. He has also been elected to "Super Lawyer" in the estate planning and probate fields of law.

William M. Reynolds, III

William M. Reynolds III is a Partner in the law firm. Bill graduated from The Citadel in 1976 and upon graduation, he accepted a commission in the United States Air Force. He served for 20 years as an F-15 fighter pilot while attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After retirement from the Air Force in 1997 he enrolled at the University of South Carolina School and attained the degree of Juris Doctor in the spring of 2000.
