Laurie was born and raised in Montreal where she started a career in Fashion Merchandising and Design. After working for several years in this field she followed her parents and moved to Victoria where she embarked on another career…initially out of shear desperation for a job… in the insurance industry! Here is where she found her passion and more important, found her calling in Business Administration. She began her insurance career as a New Business clerk in the branch office of one of Canada's major Life insurance companies and was quickly promoted to Branch Administrator. In 1986 she moved to Vancouver and soon became Director of Administration for a prominent and successful Managing General Agency. Personal circumstance brought her to Toronto in 2003 where she currently resides. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys doing volunteer work with a local Charity and spending as much time as she can with family and friends. She continues in her career as an Administrative Coordinator, and has been very fortunate and happy to be working alongside Jim Corrigan at The Living Benefits Group since 2006.
