Gail Daniels

Gail Daniels has over 21 years of tax and bookkeeping experience. Her background and knowledge meet the wide variety of demands by our clients in all aspects of accounting and finance. She supports corporations, partnerships and individuals in the preparation of tax returns. In addition, she works with numerous clients to maintain accurate accounting, payroll, and monthly/year-end financial processing. Gail is full of wisdom in which we all seek personal and professional advice. She enjoys working as a unit and helping clients find money in credits they never would have known existed. When Gail is not at work, she is working on her family farm and spending time with family.

Georgianna Lill

Georgianna Lill has almost 30 years of experience in public accounting, licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia. Georgianna began working for a small CPA firm in Atlanta and eventually moved to Athens where she worked for a local firm. She is the spouse of Ken Lill, who is a managing partner of The Tax Shelter. After years of resisting the thought of working with her husband, Ken finally convinced her to come work for The Tax Shelter in 2016. She says Ken may disagree at times but working together has proven easier and more enjoyable than imagined! The Tax Shelter is unique from the other firms Georgianna has worked with because of our ability to serve a wide range of clients across all income levels and types of businesses. Her most memorable moment since joining The Tax Shelter is playing paintball in one of our team bonding events. When Georgianna is not at work, she enjoys playing tennis and going to goat shows with her daughter.

Jenny Delgado

As an accounting student, Jenny began working part-time at The Tax Shelter in 2015. Her bi-lingual skill set of English and Spanish, allows her to serve a large variety of clients. She believes the best financial advice you can get is to take the necessary actions to make you feel that you are in control. Reliability, diligence, and outstanding customer service are what she feels sets the Tax Shelter apart from other CPA firms. When Jenny is not preparing taxes, she is managing her own cleaning business and teaching Salsa dance lessons at UGA. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and is learning to play the violin.

John Lill

John Lill retired from management in 2004, but the firm continues his policies of exceptional customer service and cutting-edge technology. The firm has grown to over 20 employees-eight accounting and tax professionals, seven administrative employees, multiple partners, and four locations in Georgia. Our main office remains in Athens, offering a unique product to the area. We have the expertise and knowledge of a traditional CPA firm, can handle the tax volume of a franchise tax operation, and pride ourselves on having the best customer service in the industry.

Ken Lill

  • Managing Partner of the Tax Shelter and Has Been
Ken Lill is the Managing Partner of The Tax Shelter and has been with the firm since April 1996. In 1989, Ken received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Georgia College and State University. He worked in Atlanta for a year and attended Graduate School at the University of Georgia, specializing in taxation. Ken worked in Atlanta at a few different CPA firms (earning his stripes) before returning to the family business in 1996. Ken's Dad retired in 2004, and Ken has been Managing Partner ever since. As Ken is our in-house tech person, he is back in school studying IT so he can continue with his technical expertise. When Ken is not at work or school, he enjoys running, playing golf, and watching television. Ken Lill, John's son, started his career working in Atlanta in the early 1990s. Ken came to work at The Tax Shelter in 1996 and purchased ownership interest shortly thereafter. Ken started taking an active management role in 2000. By this time, the firm expanded to two other offices operating under The Tax Shelter name.

Kenzi Johnson

Kenzi was a loyal tax client for years. She loved the professional yet personal atmosphere, so she decided to join the team when a position became available. Since becoming the receptionist in July of 2018, Kenzi not only sees to the myriad of projects that cross the front desk but is a huge help to all staff when it comes to communicating with clients, sending invoices, and accepting payments. Kenzi has over 20 years' experience in administrative services, including accounts payable/accounts receivable. Her financial tip is always keeping a copy of your previous year's tax return. She enjoys the team driven environment and believes it makes The Tax Shelter a better place for clients and employees. When Kenzi is not at work, she enjoys crafting and designing tumblers.

Tom Parkman

Tom Parkman has over 22 years of tax preparation experience. He has prepared taxes at The Tax Shelter since 2009. Tom served six years in the Army Reserve and went to work as accountant for Michelin tires. He retired from Michelin after 26 years and decided to expand his knowledge in preparing tax returns for individuals. His experience includes providing income tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. Outside of the office, he enjoys working at his church where he is the treasurer and going to the lake.
