Our focus is: the history of Marxist development, scientific philosophy, the basic paradoxes in contemporary China, the achievements acquired in the sinicization of Marxism theories. Simultaneously, we hope to determine our research tasks based upon the teaching realities of ideological and political education classes, in order to play a better role in knowing the world theoretically and bringing forth new ideas according to what the Central Government has said... The College of Political Science set up the Institute of Ideological and Political Education in September 2008 in order to better cope with and deeply do research into the new situation, the new problems and the new challenges in the work of giving instruction of ideological and political theory courses in higher educational institutions.
