Ben Bagert is a prominent Louisiana lawyer who has held uncompensated positions of trust and public service. He was the first Chairman of the Metropolitan Human Services District which serves the needs of developmentally disabled persons in southeast Louisiana. He has also serves as an uncompensated consultant to the District. He also served many years as an elected member of the Louisiana State Legislature. Thi s public service in the cauldron of Louisiana politics was honorable, scandal free, and he was often honored with awards recognizing his skill and integrity as a lawmaker.
