The George L. Throop Company started in 1921 as a building materials company; although the retail building materials portion of the company closed in March 2022, the company continues as a concrete production company. We are a family-owned business with George and Jeff Throop as owners (third generation) and Adam Throop running the operations (fourth generation)... As a concrete producing company, the Throop Company creates unusual and unique concrete mix designs in addition to producing normal concrete mix designs only in unusual locations using our custom designed volumetric mobile concrete portable batch plants... We are a specialty ready-mix concrete producer specializing in specialty concrete, grouts, cellular foam concrete, rapid-set fast-setting concrete, light-weight concrete and more.
