Alexis C. Perkins

Dr. Alexis Perkins graduated summa cum laude from Bryn Mawr College where she studied neuroscience and English literature. She attended Harvard Medical School, where she was selected for a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship, which she completed with Dr. Alexa Kimball in the department of dermatology at both Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. The focus of her fellowship was acne, rosacea, and psoriasis. Following medical school, Dr. Perkins completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Massachusetts, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Perkins practices general dermatology and enjoys caring for both children and adults. In addition to general dermatology, her clinical interests include acne, rosacea, psoriasis, skin cancer screening and prevention, and laser and cosmetic dermatology. She authored several peer-reviewed publications concerning acne, rosacea, and psoriasis.

Caroline L. Levine-Williams

Dr. Caroline Levine-Williams graduated from the University of Vermont in 1990 with a BA degree in zoology. She earned her medical degree in 1997 from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. During that time, Dr. Levine also spent one year as a student fellow in the department of pathology. Dr. Levine completed an internship in internal medicine at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont, followed by her dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, Dr. Levine worked in a multispecialty clinic in Robbinsdale, Minnesota for three years while serving as faculty at the University of Minnesota and teaching medical students and dermatology residents. She is now happy to be back in New England, closer to family. In addition to caring for the general dermatological concerns of both children and adults, Dr. Levine has a special interest in medical and surgical management of pre-skin cancers and skin cancers. She also performs a number of cosmetic procedures, including chemical peels, blue light therapy, sclerotherapy, BOTOX® injections, and laser procedures for spider veins, hair removal, age spots, and wrinkling.

Cheryl A. Gray

Dr. Cheryl Gray graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University in 1999. She received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she received a full scholarship as a Spencer T. Olin Fellow and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Gray completed her internship in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and her residency in dermatology at the University of Massachusetts, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, she practiced in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Dr. Gray enjoys seeing both adults and children, with special interests in skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, and eczema. She performs surgical procedures, including removal of skin cancers, moles, and cysts, and cosmetic dermatology, including BOTOX® injections, fillers, and laser treatments for hair removal, sunspots, and veins.

Christina N. Alavian

Dr. Christina Alavian received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2005. She also attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, earning a BA degree in biology in 1999. Dr. Alavian completed her dermatology residency at University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she was chief resident from 2009 to 2010, followed by a clinical and research fellowship in dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, Dr. Alavian continues to be involved with the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is an assistant professor in the department of dermatology.

Dr. Adam Brys

Following undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Adam Brys received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Detroit prior to completing his dermatology residency at Duke University, which included a year as chief resident. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, Dr. Brys spent time as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Duke University, where he specialized in laser, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Brys is also the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and he has presented regularly at international dermatology conferences. In his free time, Dr. Brys enjoys skiing, hiking, travel, and his poorly-behaved dog. Dr. Brys has a special interest in general dermatology (acne, acne scarring, skin cancer, rosacea, psoriasis) and laser dermatology (treatments for overall rejuvenation, improvement of redness, removal of dark spots, and skin resurfacing). He also performs general dermatologic surgery among other dermatologic procedures.

Dr. Elizabeth Lester

Dr. Elizabeth Lester, a native of South Dakota, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and received her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed a family practice internship at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA and a dermatology residency at University of Vermont Medical Center where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Lester also completed a dermatopathology fellowship at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, Dr. Lester was a full-time Dermatopathologist at StrataDX in Lexington, MA. Prior to relocating to Massachusetts, Dr. Lester worked at Advanced Dermatology Center in Rapid City, SD as a clinical dermatologist as well as a dermatopathologist in a family-owned practice specializing in medical, surgical and pediatric dermatology. Dr. Lester has authored several journal articles and publications. Dr. Lester practices general dermatology and enjoys caring for both adults and children. Dr. Elizabeth Lester is our pathologist. If you have a biopsy or other skin surgery, your specimen is typically sent to our lab for processing and analysis. Please talk with your doctor if you have questions about this.

Dr. Lauren Alberta-Wszolek

Dr. Lauren Alberta-Wszolek, a native of Massachusetts, graduated from the College of the Holy Cross and received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, being elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society. She completed an internal medicine internship at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center and a dermatology residency at UMass Medical School, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, Dr. Alberta was a full-time academic dermatologist at UMass Medical School, where she had the opportunity to treat patients with challenging skin conditions and teach dermatology residents, rotating residents from other fields, and medical students. She then moved with her family to Houston, Texas and spent two years at Bellaire Dermatology Associates, where she practiced general dermatology and performed a variety of cosmetic procedures.

Eileen M. Deignan

Dr. Eileen Deignan graduated from Wesleyan University and received her medical degree from Yale University. As a medical student, she was a Howard Hughes Research Scholar at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Deignan completed an internship in internal medicine at Stanford University. Subsequently, she trained in dermatology at Harvard Medical School, and in her final year she served as the chief resident. Dr. Deignan is on the board of directors of the Emerson Hospital Health System. She serves as the Chief of Dermatology at Emerson Hospital. Additionally, she is Associates Chair of the Credentials Committee. She is on the board of the New England Dermatological Society and is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology. She is the immediate past president of the Central Middlesex Chapter of the Massachusetts Medical Society.

Julie A. Fenner

Dr. Julie Fenner received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts. After an internship at Georgetown, she returned to the University of Massachusetts where she completed a residency in dermatology. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of Concord, Dr. Fenner worked in Stoneham and Medford. She treats both adult and pediatric patients and performs minor dermatologic surgeries and laser procedures.

Kathryn E. Bowers

Dr. Kathryn Bowers graduated from the University of Vermont and received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She trained in dermatology at the University of Rochester, where she also served as the program's chief resident. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Bowers was a registered nurse and nurse practitioner with a master's degree from Simmons College in Boston. Dr. Bowers is the immediate past president of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology and chief of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Auburn Hospital.

Terry P. Hadley

Dr. Terry Hadley attended Wabash College and received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He trained in the department of dermatology at Harvard Medical School following a two-year military obligation as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, New York. Throughout his years in practice he has remained active in local and regional dermatological societies, serving as president of the Boston Dermatological Society, Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology, and New England Dermatological Society. He has presented lectures for local hospital staff and participates in free skin cancer screening clinics.
