Emmanuel Sunday Ogbodo

Qualification LLB (Hons), B.L Emmanuel Sunday Ogbodo holds a Diploma in Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Laws from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from University of Lagos. He was called to the Nigerian bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2008 and he has been in active practice of law since his call. He is presently a Senior Associate in the law of Udom and Udom. He practices in all Superior Courts in Nigeria and has extensive experience in aviation, oil and gas/energy law, labour, corporate and commercial law practice. He regularly advises clients on various aspects of the law. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Essien Essien Udom

Essien Essien Udom, Senior Advocate of Nigeria is the Founding Partner of Udom & Udom, established in 1984 as a Professional Partnership dedicated to the practice of Corporate Law and Civil Litigation. The firm has recently also devoted substantial resources to pro bono litigation in criminal cases. Essien Udom has been actively involved in Law Practice for over thirty five (35) years covering the vast fields of Commercial and Business law, International Contracts Negotiations, Civil Litigation, Arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution with global experience spanning several continents. The law firm is currently retained by major National, Multinational and International Institutions in the areas of Energy, Oil and Gas, Mining, Telecommunications, Banking, Insurance, Maritime and Aviation Law and Practice. As Transaction and Due Diligence Attorneys and Solicitors to several banks, the firm of Udom and Udom was a major player in the recent restructuring of the banking industry which led to the emergence of twenty five banks in Nigeria.

Essien Udom is a founding member of Aviation Education Resource & Information for African Lawyers (AERIAL), a network of Aviation Lawyers in 37 African Countries. He is the coordinator of the Nigerian Contact Group of the Aviation Working Group (AWG), a not-for-profit legal entity comprised of major aviation manufacturers, leasing companies and financial institutions that contribute to the development of policies, laws, and regulations that facilitate advanced international aviation financing and leasing. He is a member of the Legal Advisory Panel of the Aviation Working Group. He is married to Caroline and have two daughters Meme and Itoro.

Uko Essien Udom

Uko Essien Udom is a founding partner of the firm. He holds a diploma in Company Administration and a law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University (formerly called Manchester Polytechnic). He was called to the Nigerian bar in July 1983 and has been in full time legal practice since then. Uko specialises in Civil Litigation , Oil and Gas, Aviation, Energy (transactional issues in power generation, transmission and distribution) and Arbitration. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (U.K.), American Institute of Energy Law, International Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association. A keen golfer and tennis player and supporter of Arsenal Football Club. Uko is married to Eme and they have three children, Dara, Didi and Ani.
