TRUEVALUEMETRICS

The TrueValueMetrics is an initiative to design, develop and deploy a system of metrics for everything, for company profit, for stock market value, for environmental sustainability using the concepts of double entry accounting. The metrics go beyond the money metric so that cost, price and value are all quantified and measured. The architecture embraces the three dimensions of profit, people and planet and is coherent for multiple perspectives: people, organization, place, product, society, natural system... Social and economic progress has been achieved over the past 200+ years by exploiting natural capital. All value originates with nature and everything depends on nature. This is unsustainable, but technological innovation can (must) be used to change things for the better...
