Terri Harper, MSN, FNP-C, is the clinical director of Spa Medical®, where Dr. Harper is the medical director. They enjoy sharing their professional careers.
Terri is a national and internationally recognized educator on sclerotherapy and minimally invasive cosmetic treatments. She serves as an independent contractor for Aesthetic Advancements, Inc. and as a clinical instructor for the Comprehensive Vein Training Center®.
Believing that community is important, Dr. Harper supports local organizations including the Big O Foundation, Covenant Care (a Christian adoption agency placing crisis pregnancy children in adoptive homes), Campus Clubs (comprehensive Christian after school program for at-risk children and adolescents focusing on the Pleasant Hill neighborhood), and Strong Tower Fellowship (ministry to the families of Pleasant Hill). He encourages you to give back to your community.
Dr. Harper participates in historic preservation. He located his practice in a historic building in downtown Macon (circa 1929). The building renovation was completed in 2002 and serves as home to Vein Specialists of the South, Spa Medical®, and the Comprehensive Vein Training Center®. Upstairs, there are loft apartments promoting the revitalization of downtown Macon by encouraging more people to live in the city's center.
Terri and Dr. Harper's interest in preservation extends beyond their office. They are Historic Macon members and support events that promote preservation. Living in historic Shirley Hills, they enjoy what is said to be Ella May Ellis League's (Macon's first female architect) favorite home.
In 1996, Dr. Harper felt a call to pursue his artistic talents. Working with local artists and studying on his own, he enjoys expressing himself artistically with pencil, pastels, oils, and acrylics. You may notice some of his paintings in the office and at local galleries on occasion. He also enjoys collecting local artists' works.
Believing that promotion of the visual and performing arts is important to a community, he sponsors events at the Grand Opera House, the Macon Little Theatre, and the Cherry Blossom Festival, Downtown Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza, among others. Vein Specialists of the South sponsors the First Friday Macon Arts Gallery opening each month.
