Lauren Merrill - Founder

Lauren Merrill has almost twenty years experience writing, executive producing and directing innovative documentaries, reality programming, news magazine shows, travel series and retail television. She has produced shows for ABC, MTV, The Travel Channel, HBO and NBC as well as other cable and syndicated outlets. She has won the respect of both audiences and the television community with her original ideas, cutting-edge content and large-production management skills. For three years, Lauren was the New York Bureau Chief for Warner Brother's non-fiction TV production arm Dawn Syndicated. She ran a forty member New York satellite office, set up the bureau's procedures and wrote, produced and developed shows for both network and cable. As Coordinating Producer for Universal's Blind Date and 5th Wheel, Lauren ran a sixty-member New York satellite office where she produced and delivered eighteen shows a week to the Los Angeles bureau. Lauren gained critical acclaim for her work with today's youth and the documentary- shorts she wrote, produced and directed for ABC's prime-time AIDS special, "In a New Light". As MTV was beginning to explore news and documentaries and the networks were trying to build edgy programming with conscience, Lauren won a Cable Ace Award for the MTV documentary "Children of the Night", profiling teens runaway's on the streets of Los Angeles. As the top-grossing producer at QVC's sister network Q2, Lauren supervised and produced twenty live one-hour broadcast programs per week and oversaw a production staff of forty. She developed programming strategies that maximized sales through innovative live direction and situation concepts. Additionally, Lauren was the Executive Producer for The Edge with Jake Sasseville, a successful and innovative late-night show that ran on ABC affiliates across the United States. Other producing/directing credits include Travel Channel's Exotic Islands, Paramount's Real TV, Oprah, Hearst Entertainment's B. Smith with Style, and MSNBC's Headliners and Legends.

Todd Merrill - Founder, President

Todd Merrill has had an extensive career in the entertainment industry that encompasses Media Relations, PR, Marketing, Publishing, Design and television production. In addition to his entertainment experience, Todd is also a highly acclaimed design authority, owning and operating both Todd Merrill Antiques and Studio Contemporary on Bleecker Street in New York City. Before opening Todd Merrill Antiques, Todd was the Vice President Marketing & Communications for Auctions.com. Owned by Classified Ventures, which includes the Tribune Company and The Washington Post Company, Auctions.com was the second largest person-to-person online auction site of its time. Their marketing efforts, under Todd' guidance, received accolades from Adweek Magazine and Business 2.0. At the age of 27, Todd became the Director of Pubic Relations and Special Events in the history of the fine arts auction house, Christie's. Todd coordinated the publicity and marketing efforts of the Christie's 93 offices in 33 countries, including serving as the U.S. Editorial Director for Christie's magazines. Shortly thereafter, Todd became the Creative Director at Graj and Gustavsen, working closely with the Discovery Channel. Todd facilitated the network's branding for the launch of their Discovery Channel Store. Serving as the Director of Media Relations and Trade Communications for Showtime Networks, Inc., Todd oversaw the direction of all trade and business media and coordinated all press activity surrounding the network's programming and original films. Todd also served as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Callaway Editions, the fine arts book publisher, and for the Museums of Television & Radio, overseeing the marketing campaign surrounding the opening of their second museum in Los Angeles.
