In Urban Planning at Concordia, she learned about research methods and was welcomed into the Honours Program in order to conduct research of her own. Marisia joined Universalia in 2023 to further her knowledge about global development both in Canada and abroad. Marisia is a team player and enjoys helping at all levels of a project. Marisia draws on her background in urban planning to support Universalia in committing to making the world a more sustainable and equitable place. Universalia allows her to combine her skills in administration with her passion for the ways people, governments and organizations go about crafting a better future through programs in a global context. Under the supervision of the CEO, project team leads and the finance team, Marisia helps manage a range of administrative duties. She aims to bring a high level of organization while implementing collaborative processes in the workplace. Marisia is also the Social Activities Coordinator at Universalia. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University, Ms. Therrien joined Universalia to apply her analytic, communication, and organizational skills. With her previous experience in academics and administration, she consistently brings strong technical and interpersonal capacities to the team to ensure the reliable delivery of high-quality products. In addition to fulfilling key technical responsibilities. Ms. Therrien delivers essential project management support from project onset to completion to maintain timelines and budgets, whilst also managing team member responsibilities to enable a collaborative, effective and integrated approach.
