Bob Hobbs - President

Bob Hobbs, founded SDM in 1994 with the goal of changing the way mold fabrication and injection molding services are provided. Bob made the decision to establish quality systems as the heart of the structure of the company and immediately becoming ISO certified and FDA registered. Scientific molding processes were implemented from the start of SDM. He earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Fullerton in 1984. He gained valuable experience working for companies both large and small, original equipment manufacturers as well as custom molders. Beckman Instruments, Rain Bird, Cimco, and C. Brewer are some of the well recognized employers that utilized his skills. Bob's name is listed on many product designs that are now patented. He is regularly involved in the design of new plastic products components and assemblies, from medical to irrigation to consumer products. Innovative tooling design, and a willingness to try new concepts and stretch the proper application of plastics to advance the quality of life is a major focus for Bob. SDM will continue to improve and refine its operations with Bob directing the company to establish itself as the leader in the industry.

Eddie Montelongo - VP of Sales

Eddie joined SDM as Director of Sales in 2013 after spending the past 6 years as the General Manager of Acorn-Gencon Plastics, LLC in Chino, California. Eddie has worked in plastics since he was in high school, starting as a machine operator and then a tool room apprentice at Serco Mold in Covina, California. After graduating from UC Irvine in 1995, Eddie spent a year working in Information Technology. Eventually he worked as a Materials Manager and Operations Manager at Acacia Molding & Engineering Inc. in San Bernardino, California and also spent a year selling medical devices for its sister company, Acacia, Inc.

Staci began working at SDM in 2003 as a Quality Department Intern while in high school. Upon graduating from California State University, San Bernardino in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Staci became the Quality Manager at SDM. Since 2009, Staci has continued to expand her knowledge of quality systems and has become a certified lead auditor as well as a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Staci continues to apply Lean sigma to the processes of SDM and continues to expand her knowledge attending seminars and training classes to continue her personal growth as well as that of SDM.
