WALNUT GREEN

Nestled on 100 acres in Southern Chester County PA, Walnut Green is approximately 40 minutes southwest of Center City, Philadelphia and about 15 minutes west of Wilmington, Delaware. It sits on the eastern most portion of the limestone bed that Kentucky is so proud to call it's own. Walnut Green is ideally situated within a couple hours of all the major racetracks of the Mid-Atlantic, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. With Pennsylvania's moderate climate and gently rolling hills, it is an ideal place to breed and raise racehorses. This is evidenced by the fact that the great stallions Storm Cat, Danzig and Lyphard were foaled here, as well as the top racehorses Smarty Jones and Hard Spun. The great European mare Mrs. Penny was a PA bred, as well as the ill-fated champion Go For Wand, who was foaled right here at Walnut Green.
