VLA Designs began as a solopreneur venture in 2005, the perfect solution to navigating parenthood and career moves that led my family from Baltimore to Vero Beach, Blacksburg, and back to the DMV in 2010. After almost 15 years of creative service to clients in the nonprofit, government, higher education and small business sectors, I closed up shop in December of 2019 to focus on the leadership demands of AIGA Baltimore, our local chapter of the professional association for design, and Sterilex, an award-winning biotech company in Hunt Valley, Maryland, where I led corporate brand, marketing and creative strategy, spearheaded our corporate engagement committee, and was a member of the first Sterilex Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee.
