Drs. Sanders and DeNaeyer have collaborated for almost 10 years. With Dr. DeNaeyer's clinical expertise and research experience with scleral lenses and Dr. Sanders' expertise as a research-oriented ophthalmologist, the Visionary Optics team has been able to provide the scleral lens community with unparalleled product offerings and extensive data and research on scleral lenses and scleral shape.
Dr. Greg DeNaeyer started working with Medlens and Dr. Breece to manufacture scleral lenses that he was using to manage patients with corneal irregularity. This was during a period when little was known about scleral lenses. ‘Dr. Breece was way ahead of his time was very influential and a significant mentor to me, as we he was to many others.' designed and produced the first modern scleral lens design under the Company name of Medlens Innovations. Dr. Breece's Jupiter design is the exact Jupiter design that Visionary Optics manufacturers and sells today.

Eric Marshall began working with Dr. Rob Breece
Eric Marshall answered a local job ad for a R&D manufacturing company and began working evenings with Dr. Breece producing Ortho-K lenses for Correctech. Shortly after, we started manufacturing other specialty Soft and GP designs. After a few short years of manufacturing lenses, Dr. Breece started to share his knowledge of manufacturing, design and consulting.

Dr. Lynette Johns has been an integral part of the Visionary Optics team since joining earlier this year. As our Director of Clinical and Scientific Affairs, Lynette offers one-on-one consultations tailored to OD's specific needs through Learning with Lynette. With almost 20 years of scleral lens fitting experience, Dr. Johns is passionate about two things: scleral lenses and education.
Belinda Priest has worked with eye care patients since she was a teenager. She started working in her stepfather's optometry practice when she was around 16 years old, learning about eye exams, lens fittings, and other aspects of patient care. Fifteen years later, Belinda joined the Visionary Optics' customer service team and later trained to become a consultant. She will celebrate seven years with Visionary Optics this year.

Visionary Optics consultant Megan Schwarzinger loves making a difference in peoples' lives with the lenses she designs. Megan has worked as an ophthalmic technician and assistant for years in both general and specialty clinic environments. She became a certified ophthalmic assistant and certified ophthalmic scribe in 2017 and joined Visionary Optics as a specialty lens consultant in 2019.
Megan is my personal consultant at Visionary Optics. Since day one, she has been so amazing. She is personable and friendly and extremely easy to work with. Visionary Optics consultant Suzanne Kemp values the relationships she has built with the doctors she speaks to every day. Sabrina Balint has been an optometric technician for more than five years and a consultant with Visionary Optics for almost two years. As an optometric technician, she works closely with optometrists to prepare patients for exams and assist during consultations, exams, fittings, and orders.
Sabrina currently wears Visionary Optics' Europa and Latitude scleral lenses and knows exactly what to look for during the fitting process. In addition to scleral lens fitting, she is also familiar with several other lens types and strives to stay updated on the most current literature and news in optometry.
