Director of the Austrian Wine Academy Dr. Josef Schuller MW states, "Our international Weinakademiker community is playing an increasingly important role in the international wine scene. Of course, we are particularly proud of this year's two new Weinakademiker H.C. from Austria. Their 15 international colleagues include among others, Jancis Robinson MW, Dr. Monika Christmann, and Marchese Piero Antinori; together they are superstars of the wine world. We want to celebrate that accordingly." After two years of pandemic-related restrictions, celebrations were again possible. Weinakademiker winemakers from all over Austria presented their wines to the guests and the new Wine Academy graduates after the graduation ceremony, and new and old friendships were forged.
