WA Buying Services was initially established in 1996 as a co-operative buying entity, to provide remote aboriginal sites with the entire needs of their community and school. This was a positive step forward for united Aboriginal community purchasing across Western Australia and still offers Aboriginal people equalities and opportunities that the main stream population have taken for granted for many years... Since its inception in 1996, the dedicated team at WA Buying Serves (WABS) has gained extensive knowledge and experience in understanding and dealing with the difficulties faced not only by the Aboriginal Communities, but also by the Store Managers, employed to ensure the continual supply of groceries and fresh, healthy produce to the customer.
