Aaron Dillman

Aaron has over 20 years experience providing accounting and business advising services in the automotive industries, manufacturing, service, farming, agricultural equipment and transportation. Aaron focuses on providing owner-managed businesses with tax planning, accounting and assurance services, business valuations and business advisory services. Aaron is passionate about building lasting relationships and possessing strong client business knowledge that assist with providing solutions to our client's most pressing business needs. His significant business valuating experience includes preparing and reviewing valuations for marital disputes, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and shareholder disputes. His professional engagements have included advising clients on strategic planning and operational issues, corporate structure and shareholder agreement negotiations. Aaron also has considerable experience providing litigation support in relation to business interruption insurance claims, economic loss calculations, personal injury claims and in providing operational and structure analysis support for shareholder disputes. He also has experience providing assistance with various merger and acquisition transactions. Aaron is a key member of the human resources committee for the Saskatoon office. A University of Saskatchewan graduate, Aaron began his public practice career with Virtus Group in 1997. He subsequently acquired the designations of Chartered Professional Accountant in 2001, Certified Financial Planner in 2004 and Chartered Business Valuator in 2007. In his spare time Aaron enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors camping, fishing and hunting.

Alison Grieman

Ali is a Controller for our Comprehensive Accounting Solutions (CAS) team in the Saskatoon office. She joined Virtus Group in 2020 after spending 10 years in the non-profit industry, holding Controller and Director of Finance positions. After spending time in industry, Ali understands the predicament many small to medium size organizations face in the need to have strong financial reporting, while also facing capacity constraints with personnel. The CAS team is able to bridge that gap with our contract services, Ali enjoys alleviating those stressors for her clients and allowing them to focus on their business' core needs. Ali was born and raised in Saskatoon, receiving her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, and subsequently her CMA Designation in 2011. She lends her time and governance experience on community boards, most recently completing 6 years with the Saskatoon SPCA. In her spare time, you can find Ali chasing her two little ones, in the yard with friends, or at the lake reading all the books and having the occasional water gun fight.

Alyssa Krupski

Alyssa joined Virtus Group in 2019 and is a manager in our Regina office. She started as a co-op student and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina. Alyssa earned her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2022. She is proficient in owner managed business with a focus on the agricultural industry. Alyssa grew up on a grain farm near Lemberg, Saskatchewan, which fostered her passion for agriculture. Alyssa is dedicated to learning and development, and assists the CPA students through the experience reporting program. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending her time with family and friends, reading a good book, or camping at the lake.

Amanda Kostur

Amanda is a manager with Virtus Group in our Regina office. Amanda grew up in Regina, earning her Bachelor of Administration with a specialty in Accounting from the University of Regina. Afterwards, she achieved her CPA designation in 2020. Amanda started her career with Virtus Group in 2018 and has been a manager at Virtus Group since 2022. Amanda is proficient in owner managed business, including professional services, manufacturing, retail and trade services. Amanda is passionate about learning and development and provides workshops for CPA students at the firm to help them get the tools to successfully complete the program, along with assisting in various other professional development courses throughout the firm. In her spare time, Amanda sits on the board of directors for Regina Cat Rescue. She's an avid reader and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Bella Jessop

Bella has over 25 years in public practice experience working with owner managed businesses. Bella moved to Canada from Hong Kong to further her education. She is a graduate from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Bella began her public practice career with Virtus Group in 1992 and obtained her Certified Management Accountant designation in 1995. She specializes in providing accounting, assurance services and advisory services and enjoys building relationships with her clients to help meet their financial goals. Bella's work is mainly in the oil and gas and food and retail service industries. Away from work, Bella loves watching her son play badminton and enjoys outdoor activities with her family such as hiking, biking, and walking.

Ben Struthers

Ben is a Manager at Virtus Group and has been in public practice since 2016. Ben enjoys developing relationships with clients, learning about his clients' businesses with a goal of helping them find financial success. Ben has experience dealing with a variety of owner managed businesses. Ben is from Ogema, SK and after high school he moved to Regina to attend The University of Regina where he graduated with a Business degree majoring in Accounting. Ben continued his studies to obtain his professional designation in 2019. Ben is still strongly connected to his hometown and does bookkeeping for the Ogema Heritage Railway association. Outside of work Ben enjoys spending time with his young family. Staying loyal to the nation, you can catch Ben cheering for the Riders, Canadiens, and Jays. Ben also enjoys family camping, playing ball and fills his winter with rec hockey.

Brady Manz

Brady is the General Manager of our Outsourced Accounting division, based out of our Saskatoon office. Starting with the firm in 2018, Brady was brought aboard to lead the Outsourced Accounting division, which he has helped build from the ground up. Brady articled in public practice for 5 years before making the move to industry to take a position as a Corporate Controller with a local construction company. His primary client focus is mid-sized owner-managed businesses in a variety of industries. The CAS division focuses on assisting companies with their internal accounting and finance functions. From day-to-day efficiencies within the accounting cycle to high level financial reporting, the CAS teams strives to add value to your business by ensuring you know your numbers and are using this information to drive key business decisions. Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Brady graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. Brady earned his professional designation as a Chartered Accountant in 2010. Away from the office, Brady enjoys time at the lake and sports (especially hockey) and spending time with his young family.

Breanna MacEwan

Breanna is a Senior Manager based in the Saskatoon office with 15 years of public practice and industry experience. She specializes in providing accounting, audit and assurance, and general business advisory services. As an audit and assurance specialist, Breanna helps clients in a range of industries, including not-for-profit organizations and charities, credit unions, automotive dealerships, construction, and retail to manage their compliance and assurance service requirements. Breanna also deals with many small and medium sized owner-managed businesses in other areas including providing personal and corporate tax planning and general business advice. She focuses on developing long term relationships with clients that allow her to identify the client's needs and offer practical solutions and strategies to simplify their accounting and tax issues. Breanna is a member of the firm's Audit Services Group and has been active in her community sitting on boards and committees throughout her professional career. After graduating with Great Distinction from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Breanna earner her professional designation as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. Brian Heinrichs

Brian is a Partner in the Saskatoon office. He has over 25 years of valuable experience in public practice with accounting firms in Saskatoon and Winnipeg. Brian specializes in providing assurance, financial reporting and advisory services to his clients. Brian is committed to exceeding the expectations of his clients by providing them with customized advice and solutions that meet their unique needs. His extensive technical knowledge and industry experience with both private and public companies make him a great asset to the Assurance Team. He has worked with clients in diverse industries including health care, school divisions, mining, manufacturing, retail, transportation, financial institutions, automotive dealerships and not-for-profit organizations. He is a leader in the technical expertise of the financial reporting frameworks most frequently used in Canada today, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) and has assisted numerous clients with these standards. He is a member of the firm's Audit Services Group and Chair of the Best Practices Committee, as well as a member of the RSM Canada National Audit Leaders Group. He has also provided support to the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada as a technical expert in Assurance and Financial Reporting, including marking the national exam, the Common Final Evaluation (CFE), for 16 years. Brian received the George Baxter Award for Excellence from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Saskatchewan in 2008 for excellence in professional, charitable, and community involvement. In 2016, Brian was a presenter at The Summit, a gathering of Allinial Global professionals from across North America. In addition, he was invited to participate in CPA Canada's NPO Symposium, as an experienced professional in servicing the needs of not-for-profit organizations. Chris Clark

Chris was born and raised in small town Saskatchewan. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007. Chris headed west and articled at a mid-sized firm in Calgary for a number of years before returning to Saskatchewan. He obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2009, and started with Virtus Group in 2010. Chris' primary focus is mid-sized owner managed businesses in various industries including automotive dealers, agriculture, construction and trades, manufacturing, and professional corporations. Chris focuses on being an internal resource to managers and partners within the firm. In his spare time Chris enjoys spending time with his young family camping, boating, fishing and attending various kids' activities, as well as keeping up on his fitness.

Chris Ottenson

Chris is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 10 years experience in public practice. He has been a part of the Virtus Group team since 2016. He provides accounting, tax, and business advisory services for many entrepreneurial clients across a variety of industries. Chris was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and after he completed his education and worked for a number of years in Regina he moved to Vancouver Island where he obtained his designation as a Certified Management Accountant. During his time on "the island" he developed a number of hobbies including hiking, kayaking, and bee keeping. Now back in Regina he continues beekeeping with one small hive in his backyard and likes to get out on the water whenever he can.

Christopher Jungwirth

Christopher has over four years in public accounting. He grew up in the community of Sutherland in Saskatoon. He obtained a business diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2017, he then went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in 2019. He achieved his CPA designation in February 2022. Christopher has been a manager at Virtus Group since 2023 after beginning his career with the firm in 2019. He is proficient in owner-managed businesses in a variety of industries including automotive, real estate and investment holdings, retail and service businesses. In his spare time, Christopher enjoys hunting, fishing and enjoying a cold beverage around the fire in the summer months.

Clint Gifford

Clint began his accounting career in 1999 and specializes in providing tax planning and business advisory services for his many professional and entrepreneurial clients. As a tax specialist, Clint focuses on financial solutions for professionals and business owners, corporate reorganizations and SRED tax incentives. His in-depth tax expertise includes advising numerous clients in a variety of industries including medical and dental professionals, lawyers, engineers, residential and commercial construction, farm and industrial manufacturing and computer hardware/software design and manufacturing. Clint has shared his significant tax expertise as a presenter at the Prairie Provinces Tax Conference for the Canadian Tax Foundation. He regularly participates in national and prairie tax conferences and is a member of numerous professional associations including CPA Saskatchewan and the Canadian Tax Foundation. After graduating with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce, Clint went on to earn his professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2002. A strong drive for personal professional development, Clint completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth tax program in 2005. Cole Fornwald

Born and raised in Lampman, Saskatchewan, Cole graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Craig Hinz

Craig has 25 years of experience in public practice accounting, serving clients across various sectors in the areas of owner-managed taxation and accounting, not-for-profit audits, personal taxation matters and consultation services in the areas of finance, taxation and accounting. Although not raised on a farm directly, growing up in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, a true agriculturally based community, Craig developed a particular interest in agricultural related clients and businesses. In addition to the accounting and taxation requirements of their business, Craig's focus on the overall well-being of his clients has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor amongst his valued clients. After receiving his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Craig began his public practice career in 1996 and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1999. In 2013 Craig was honored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan with a Fellowship designation for his years of dedication and service to his profession. Craig served his clients in his capacity as Partner with the firm HVB Chartered Professional Accountants for 17 years prior to January 1, 2021, when that office merged into the firm of Virtus Group LLP, in which Craig immediately assumed the role of Partner. Craig's belief in giving back to his communities has led him to serve for many years with soccer and ringette clubs, community associations, a Junior A Hockey Club and a Winter Games in various roles from youth coach to Director to President and Chair. In addition, Craig has also served his profession as a member and Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee over the course of 11 years, and as a member and Vice Chair of the Discipline Committee over the course of 7 years and counting. Craig has also prepared and instructed various courses in the areas of financial planning, taxation and accounting. Craig became a partner with Virtus Group in January 2017. He provides accounting, tax, and business advisory services for his many entrepreneurial clients across a variety of industries. Craig was born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and after high school he moved to Regina to attend the University of Regina where he graduated with a Bachelor of Administration degree. Craig later went on to obtain his professional designation as a Chartered Accountant in 2004. Craig serves the community through his involvement with the Regina Food Bank. He has been on the Board of Directors for the past five years and acts as Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee. He also has volunteered in the audit of the Sask Roughriders Plaza of Honour Draw for five years. Outside of the office Craig enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and mischievous dog, playing softball and golf, spending time at the lake, and taking trips.

Dan Hicke

Dan joined Virtus Group LLP in 2004 and the partnership in 2011. Over the years through his work with owner managed businesses and professionals, Dan has become proficient in providing his clients with business advisory, tax planning, succession and financial solutions advice. Dan is committed to building strong business relationships, providing strategic yet practical business advice and maximizing the efficiency and financial well-being of his clients. Dan is committed to the development and mentorship of Virtus Group's team members. Dan has led many of Virtus Group's internal professional development and leadership courses and helped to develop the internal Business Development Programs and Mentorship program within the firm. As a member of the firm's Human Resource committee, Dan focuses on the recruitment, engagement and support of Virtus Group staff. When Dan isn't at work he spends time with his wife and two young girls. David Prost

David, is a member of the firm's assurance services practice and has been in public practice since 1988. He joined the firm in 2000 and was admitted into the partnership in 2002. David specializes in providing assurance services and financial reporting solutions to the firm's clients. Dave recently transitioned from being a Partner to a Senior Consultant role within the firm. David's extensive experience has included local, national and international engagements for public, private and non-profit businesses. He provides assurance services and financial reporting solutions to a wide range of clients and industries including financial institutions, oil & gas, private for profit enterprises and non-profits. Dave is energized when working with clients to help resolve issues that improve their business. Currently, David chairs the firm's best practices committee and is a member of both the Canada and US Audit & Assurance committees for Allinial Global. David serves on the Discipline Panel of CPA Saskatchewan. He is also a past President of the Regina Palliative Care Inc and the Regina Queen City Kinsmen Club. As well, he is a member of the Board of Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers and serves as its treasurer.

Deneeca has been involved in a wide variety of accounting tasks for the client. Her goal has always been to focus on giving the client a tailored experience that best suits their needs. Denelle Hansen

Denelle is a Manager with Virtus Group in our Regina office. Denelle has spent her entire professional career at Virtus Group since joining the firm in 2007. She works with owner managed enterprises in a variety of industries including agriculture, retail, and various service businesses. Denelle is focused on building deep relationships with her clients while providing expertise in accounting and bookkeeping processes, payroll, agriculture programs, and tax planning. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Denelle spent half her childhood in Regina and half in Saskatoon. Denelle moved to Moose Jaw to complete her accounting diploma at SIAST and then moved back to Regina to begin work at Virtus Group. Denelle worked full-time and attended the University of Regina to receive her Bachelor of Administration. Denelle earned her professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2012. Denelle plays a significant role in the orientation and training of new additions to the Virtus Group team. She is also active in the community sitting on several boards and committees during her professional career. When Denelle is not at the office she enjoys curling in the winter and golfing in the summer. She spends a lot of time with her young family going for walks or bike rides, cheering for the Riders and watching movies.

Doug Frondall

Doug is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Fellow Certified Management Accountant, Certified Management Consultant, Certified Valuation Analyst and is Saskatchewan's only Chartered Merger & Acquisition Professional. He has over 20 years in public practice accounting and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, business valuations and business advisory services. With more than 15 years of experience advising and brokering client merger and acquisition transactions, he has served numerous clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, farming, wholesale distribution, construction, hospitality, oil & gas, accommodation and healthcare. Doug's extensive business valuating experience includes providing services for clients in wholesale construction supply, heavy equipment rental, oil and gas, agriculture, automotive, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Doug is the first Canadian to be named Chairman of the Board of Directors for PKF North American Network (now known as Allinial Global). As the 2009 Chair of PKF NAN, he represented Canada, USA and Mexico to PKF International. Currently, he is a member of the University of Saskatchewan Senate, a Director and Chair of the Audit and Compensation Committees of Prime West Mortgage Investment Corporation and the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of SaskWorks. He is the past Director and Chair of the Audit and Compensation Committees of Mindoro Resources Ltd. His primary focus involves working with privately-held businesses, facilitating mergers and acquisitions, providing litigation support, business valuations and general business advisory services. As a business valuation specialist with extensive and diverse industry experience, he has provided expert witness testimony for various court matters. He has also facilitated numerous exit plans, assisting clients with ownership transition, independent business valuations, structuring internal buyouts and negotiating third party sales.

Doug McKillop

Doug began public practice in 1979 and became a Partner with the firm in 1982. In 2008, Doug was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Chartered Professional Accountant designation, in recognition of his leadership within his profession. With more than 30 years of professional accounting service experience to his credit, Doug recently transitioned from being a Partner to a Senior Consultant role within the firm. Doug is a longstanding member of the Taxation Committee and a Professional Development Instructor for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Saskatchewan (CPA Saskatchewan). He has served CPA Saskatchewan as a member of the Professional Development Committee and as the Saskatchewan representative on the Canada Revenue Agency Tax Professionals Advisory Committee. In recognition for his excellence in leadership positions, Doug received the Distinguished Community Service Award from CPA Saskatchewan in 2005. Doug has served the community in executive positions for Sask Sport, the Western Canada Summer Games and been on the Board of Directors for Football Saskatchewan. He is the past President and a current board member of the University of Regina Rams Football Club. Currently he is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit & Finace Committee for Group Medical Services. Doug works primarily with owner managed businesses and professional clients, with a concentration on income tax, succession and estate planning. In his leisure time, Doug enjoys spending time with family, traveling to visit his two young grandchildren and supporting his favourite college football club, the Regina Rams.

Frank Hounjet

Frank also has extensive experience providing accounting and general business advisory services to owner-managed clients in a range of industries across Western Canada. Frank enjoys problem-solving and assisting clients with their financial needs. A graduate from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007 with Great Distinction, Frank went on to obtain his Chartered Accountant designation in 2010 as well as his Chartered Business Valuation designation in 2013. Outside of work, Frank enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Maria and at the lake with his extended family.

Grant Bossaer

With over 30 years of public practice experience, Grant specializes in providing tax planning and business consulting services to a wide range of clients. These clients include owner managed businesses, professional corporations and other small to medium sized entities. Grant has also provided audit and consulting services to a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations and has presented accounting and taxation courses for banking organizations. Grant began his professional accounting career in 1986, receiving the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant in 1989. In 2002, Grant was a founding partner of HVB Chartered Professional Accountants, which merged with Virtus Group on January 1, 2021. Grant is a past member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Saskatchewan Taxation Committee. Grant has served the community as a past treasurer of the North Saskatoon Business Association, past committee member for fundraisers for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon and was treasurer for many minor sports teams. Grant and his wife have four adult children that they enjoy spending time with at their cabin doing summer and winter activities. Grant also continues to enjoy playing hockey.

As a tax specialist, Janice focuses on financial solutions for professionals and business owners, corporate reorganizations and SRED tax incentives. Jannelle is an assurance manager in our Regina office. Originally from Nipawin Saskatchewan, she began her career with Virtus Group as a co-op student in 2015 after moving to Regina for university. Jannelle has obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant designation as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina. Her primary area of focus is assurance services with specialization in not-for-profit and charitable organizations. Away from the office Jannelle enjoys spending time with her family. This usually includes dog walks, going to back to the family farm, or travelling somewhere warm!

Jeff Hansen

Jeff started his accounting career with Virtus Group in 2006 after graduating from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Administration degree. After receiving his professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2008, Jeff specialized in tax. He thrives on fulfilling the tax needs of owner-managed businesses and farms, whether it involves planning, compliance, or complex reorganizations. Jeff's passion for tax and learning has led him to complete the In-Depth Tax course in 2011 and obtaining his Trust & Estates Practitioner designation in 2020. Jeff has since acted as a facilitator for young students taking the In-Depth Tax program. In addition to being a regular presenter for numerous businesses and organizations in Regina, Jeff has also been a presenter at the Prairie Provinces Tax Conference hosted by the Canadian Tax Foundation. Jeff has volunteered as the Treasurer of the Estate Planning Council of Regina. He gives back to the accounting profession as the vice-chair of the Professional Conduct Committee of CPA Saskatchewan. When not working, Jeff is an obsessive football fan. He proudly owns a share of each of his favourite teams, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and the Green Bay Packers.

Jenelle is a Senior Manager based in the Saskatoon office with over 10 years of public practice experience. She specializes in providing accounting, tax, and general business advisory services. Her primary client focus is mid-sized owner managed businesses in a variety of industries including real estate development, manufacturing, automotive dealers, professional corporations, residential and commercial construction, retail and service businesses. Jenelle started with Virtus in October of 2017 and previously was employed at a national firm in Saskatoon for 7 years. She graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce in 2014 and earned her professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2015. Jenelle is a member of the Strengths Team within Virtus where she focuses on mentoring young individuals on how to best utilize their Top five Strengths to excel in their career. Outside of work, Jenelle spends most of her free time with her husband and two young boys who love to travel, attend Rider games, and enjoy the outdoors.

Jeremy has spent his entire career at Virtus Group since joining the firm in 2003, working with clients in a variety of industries including real estate development, manufacturing, construction and trade, and various other retail and service businesses. Jeremy is passionate about building and maintaining strong relationships with his clients, and provides expertise in the areas of tax planning, business advisory services, accounting and assurance, and succession planning. Born and raised in Avonlea, Saskatchewan, Jeremy has lived in Regina since 2000 and graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Administration in 2005. Jeremy earned his professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2007, and completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth Tax Course in 2016. Jeremy joined the partnership group in 2017. Jeremy is committed to growing the firm and its people. Jeremy is a member of the firm's Tax Committees and Client Service Committee, and plays an active role in the recruitment, development and mentorship of the Virtus Group team. Away from the office, Jeremy enjoys playing golf, volleyball and slo-pitch. He spends lots of time with his young family and is in the process of brainwashing his two boys to cheer hard for the Roughriders, Blackhawks, Bears, White Sox and Raptors.
