Anoushka Gandy

Anoushka Gandy focuses her practice in family, estate, and civil law. Anoushka Gandy focuses her practice in family law, civil litigation, wills & estates and criminal defence. Anoushka was raised in Calgary, Alberta, where she began her post- secondary education. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology from Mount Royal University. Shorty after, she moved to London, England, to attend law school and pursue her passion. Anoushka graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Laws in the top ten percent of her class. During her time at law school, Anoushka was involved in numerous clubs including the Mooting Society and the Kingston Law Society. By living and studying in London, Anoushka associated with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds, which has made her more culturally sensitive in a global economy. Upon her return to Calgary, Anoushka began volunteering for Pro Bono Law Alberta and was awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" award in 2017. Anoushka volunteers for the Association of Women Lawyers as well as, is a board member for the Young Women Lawyers Association. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Anoushka spent several years as a gymnastics coach. When not at work Anoushka enjoys working out, volunteering, playing with her dog and going hiking.

Christina Wallace

Christina Wallace has argued at all levels of Alberta's Courts: the Alberta Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench, and at the Court of Appeal. She has been a member of the Alberta bar since 2011. Her court skills are kept sharp, but her preference is to assist clients reach a resolution as expeditiously as possible through mediation or negotiation. She asks clients to be prepared as necessary for meetings and to receive the best possible advice by: Keeping and sharing detailed notes of information they want her to review; Providing goals throughout their case and adjusting their expectations as they receive her advice, and, Listening to her objective views. A fierce advocate for children and those in need, Christina has devoted a significant portion of her time since being admitted to volunteering and providing services pro bono in her community.

Gary Gill

Gary particularly enjoys helping employees and employers in the employment law matters Having graduated with Distinction from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Human Resources), Gary enjoys helping employees and employers in the employment law matters. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. He has argued at multiple levels of Court in various client matters. His diverse experience has led Gary to practice in multiple areas including Employment Law, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. Adopting a client centered approach to the practice of law, Gary believes that: communication should be open and transparent between lawyers and clients; clients should be fully informed so they can make the best decision possible, and that difficult principles should be broken down so there is no concept lost in translation. Gary has taught law-related courses at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

John Stainton

He is corporate counsel to hundreds of clients. A member of the Alberta bar since 1972, John's experience is relied upon heavily by clients whether their business is fledgling to when founders are exiting. John and his team assist clients everyday with their corporate documents, including shareholder agreements; tax matters; equity and debt financing; advice on strategic matters, and anything that a business may encounter in it's lifespan. John is often invited by his clients to attend to their premises, and he is happy to oblige whether it is at the family farm or the businesses' office abroad. He is known to accept invitations to golf.

Nav Bamrah

Nav Bamrah has argued before the Court in municipalities across Alberta. He is a fierce advocate for children and is not shy in turning away potential clients he knows will not be seen favourably if their matter were to be inside a courtroom. He is a litigator with preferred practice areas in family, criminal, and immigration law matters. Nav is the firm's primary lead in Grande Prairie and has served as duty counsel there for several years. Nav was a lawyer in India and then attended the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law before being admitted to practice in Alberta. His personal experiences allow him to relate to clients who may have challenges of matters that are between different cities or disputes that may be occurring abroad.

Rohit Kanwar

Rohit Kanwar has argued before the Court in municipalities across Alberta. His first preference for all of his clients is to avoid court, except where it is obvious that this is not a possibility. Rohit deliberately maintains a diverse litigation practice to have knowledge in skills that can assist his clients, and as a general practice after he is retained, he often shares his cell phone so he can be contacted whenever his assistance is required. Rohit has lived abroad during a part of his studies and understands challenges that are presented by clients dealing with issues across jurisdictions, be it disputes across different cities or different countries.

Suman Virk

Suman was born and raised in Calgary. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science Suman Virk is the managing lawyer of Virk Law. She concentrates her practice in criminal law and is admitted to the bars of Manitoba (inactive) and Alberta. She has defended clients throughout the Prairies and British Columbia charged with significant criminal offences. Her practice is restricted to trial work and providing strategic advice and oversight on criminal law matters to other lawyers at the firm who call upon her regularly. She graduated early from university and had participated in successful defences of murder and drug trafficking before she had turned 25 years old.
