Dr. Amy Patel, OD is from Vincennes, Indiana. She has a passion for helping people, and her mission is to provide the gift of sight through comprehensive vision care in Alabama at EyeCare Associates.

Dr. Anne Garrison Meighen, OD has practiced primary care optometry for over 30 years in the state of Alabama. Dr. Meighen was inspired by the injury her father received from an artillery accident which resulted in a prosthetic eye.
Dr. Meighen has participated in several eye care missions including Honduras, Jamaica, and Thailand and is a proud member of the American Optometric Association, including the Alabama chapter. She has served on various committees and performed volunteer service on several community Vision Vans.

Dr. Ashley Savage, OD is a primary care optometrist in Alabama at EyeCare Associates. Dr. Savage earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stillman College, where she was also an NCAA Division 2 dual-sport athlete. Dr. Benjamin Harris, OD, MS, graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University at Montgomery and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry. He also has a Master of Science degree from The University of Alabama. He has been in practice in Montgomery for over nearly 30 years.

Dr. Betsy Farris, OD, completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Montevallo. While at the University of Montevallo, she was a four year member of the volleyball team. Dr. Farris went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
Dr. Farris is a current member of the Alabama Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Farris is from DeFuniak Springs, Florida, where she grew up around her father's optometric practice. In her spare time Dr. Farris enjoys being outdoors, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, and spending time with her husband.

Dr. Bonnie-Kim Schwertz, OD, earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry. Dr. Brian Kurtz, OD, has been practicing optometry for over thirty years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every patient he sees. Dr. Kurtz was born and raised in Pennsylvania and soon after graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, he moved into the warm south to provide primary eye care and eye exams in Enterprise, AL. Dr. Kurtz enjoys seeing all types of challenging eye care cases.

Dr. Carrie Wolfe, OD, was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana. She was drawn to optometry in college upon learning the incredible connection between systemic and ocular health. Dr. Wolfe is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and has had publications in Primary Care Optometry News and Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Wolfe has been practicing at EyeCare Associates in Trussville, Alabama for 18 years. Their Trussville, AL eye care center was recognized as the "Best Eye Doctor" in the community for 2020. Dr. Wolfe has been married to her husband for 13 years and they have three amazing kids. She loves spending time with her family, serving at her home church in Birmingham, and good Cajun cuisine.

Dr. Casey Brown, OD, is full-scope optometrist in Birmingham, AL at EyeCare Associates. Dr. Dale Potter, OD, is a primary care optometrist in Decatur, Alabama with over 40 years of experience providing eye care and teaching others in an optometric professional setting. Dr. Potter completed his undergraduate education at the University of Alabama, where he worked briefly in the area of pharmacology before deciding to apply to Optometry School. Dr. Douglas DeVore, OD is an Illinois native that has worked in Central Illinois for 40 years. Dr. DeVore graduated from Illinois State University in 1979 with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry followed by graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1983. Dr. DeVore has practiced full-scope therapeutic optometry, including Lasik evaluations, co-management of Lasik, and cataract surgery patients, and sports-related contact lens fittings.
