Three members of the Weaverham Parish Council attended Monday's graduation of the Mini Police at Weaverham Primary Academy. Our local PCSO Michelle Gillett has been running the scheme with various schools in Northwich, giving children the chance to step into the shoes of Cheshire Police officers ♀️ ♂️. This was part funded project by the Parish Council, a private individual and Cheshire Police. Weaverham remained a rural community of some 1000 people until the 1920's, when ICI built the Owley Wood estate to house its workers.
