Ron was heavily influenced in thinking and design by his time spent traveling and living in Europe. He formally launched White Blackbird Company in 1993, upon returning to the U.S. from a business venture in Vienna. It was in Austria that Ron's belief in the importance of using non-toxic and eco-friendly building materials in one's living spaces was formed, e.g., natural oil-finished floors, formaldehyde-free insulation and low-voc paint. White Blackbird has built over two dozen new homes over the past 15 years, incorporating these principles... White Blackbird Company specializes in the design and construction of new homes built from reclaimed architectural salvage. With traditional design and the use of authentic building materials, these new structures have character as well as beauty, a timeless quality that sets them apart...
