Brady is a member of the firm's Business Practice Group. Brady has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and partnership taxation, non-profit organizations, and general corporate matters. While in law school, Brady worked as a judicial intern in the Chambers of Justice Hagedorn of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, where he researched and drafted bench memos for the supervising justice to prepare oral arguments, gaining an insider's perspective on the state's highest court's legal analysis and rulings. Brady also worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of General Council, where he drafted motions for summary judgment, assisted in discovery, and researched administrative statutes and precedents.

Cate is a member of the firm's Business Law Practice Group. Cate's primary focus is mergers and acquisitions, representing middle market clients. In addition to her M&A practice, she regularly advises clients on general corporate matters. Cate specializes in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts, including, purchase agreements, supply and distributions agreements, master service agreements and terms and conditions. Cate assists clients with each phase of their business - from formation, capitalization and financing, to succession planning and exit strategies. Dean P. Laing has been with O'Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong and Laing S.C., a 40-plus attorney law firm headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for over 40 years since graduating cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 1983. He was on the firm's Board of Directors from 1990 to 2023, and was the firm's President from 2015 to 2020.
Mr. Laing is board certified in Civil Trial Advocacy and Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and is a frequent author and speaker on legal issues involving evidence, torts, insurance, and trial tactics. He has authored 42 journal articles and book chapters, including the Evidence Chapter of the Wisconsin State Bar's annual book entitled Annual Survey of Wisconsin Law each year (but two) from 1987 to 2016; been an invited speaker at 33 legal seminars/workshops; and been counsel in more than 70 published/reported decisions, many of which made new law.
Mr. Laing's personality and trial skills have allowed him to be one of a select few attorneys who have been able to successfully practice both commercial litigation and personal injury litigation. In addition to representing Fortune 500 and other variously sized companies in their commercial litigation needs, Mr. Laing represents severely injured persons in prosecuting their personal injury claims. His passion for those cases is partially derived from his having two brothers with cerebral palsy. As a result of growing up in that environment, Mr. Laing understands what families go through in caring for loved ones with special needs, and is able to communicate that to insurance companies, defense counsel, judges, and juries.

Doug Dehler is a shareholder with the law firm of O'Neil Cannon, where he leads the firm's Class Action and False Claims Act practice group. Mr. Dehler's practice focuses primarily on high-stakes, complex litigation, including class action lawsuits and whistleblower (qui tam) cases.
