BOULDER MOUNTAIN CONTRACTING

Boulder Mountain Contracting has received devastating news today. The 2019 contract has just been approved and yesterday our placement number was also revealed. Long story short it looks like we wont be getting any work this year. As some of you may or may not know most contract crews in the province have been demoted to type 3 status. In order to retain type 2 status we would have needed to employ a WCB certified snag faller per squad. As we weren't able to comply we had no choice but to apply as a type 3 crew. We are now lower on the roster than all type 1 crews (unit crews) as well any and all type 2 crews, out of province or local . Most damning is that our overall ranking is 8th over all in our district for type 3 crews. We had been told that experience, and references would be used in deciding overall placement but it seems that the first ranking type 3 crews scored high based on their bid price.
