WILK ARCH - Key Persons

Michael Wilk, educated and licensed as an architect, quickly discovered the limitations of the architect's role in a project. After a few years of practice, he changed roles to Project Managing for a large commercial contractor. This combined experience made it clear to him the weaknesses in the Design, Bid, Build, model for construction. The constant conflict between the contractor and the architect made everyone and the project less efficient. Partnering with Centric Construction, Michael formed Michael Wilk Architecture and for 10 years focused on serving clients with Design/Build services. Today, Architectural Project Managers Brynn McMillan and Frances Iglesias work with Centric Construction to take projects straight from schematic design through completion. They focus on commercial adaptive reuse projects and have become experts at navigating the challenges of renovating existing structures. Roughly 5 years ago, Michael Wilk changed his focus to running projects as the Owners Representative/Construction Manager under the DBA/WilkArch. WilkArch has managed numerous projects and project types including hospitality, commercial tenant improvement and multi-family ground up construction.
