At a young age, Ashley moved from Southern California to Fayetteville, NC where her family still resides. She studied business management at Western Carolina University and began her property management career in 2006. Since then she has worked in MD, VA, SC and NC and her experience covers assets ranging from affordable, market rate and lease up. After attaining her real estate license in 2016, she dabbled in traditional real estate, however eventually came to realize multi-family was where her passion is.

Brad Johnson and his family have called Wilmington home for the last 15 years. After graduating from NC State University with a business management degree, he and his wife Kayla got married in Raleigh and moved back to Wilmington to start their careers and be closer to family. Brad, a licensed real estate agent, has enjoyed success in marketing, communications, HOA management, and commercial property management before joining the Sweyer Property Management team.
Cassy was born and raised in the small town of Swansboro, NC, before moving to Wilmington, NC. She started her career in Emerald Isle, NC, where she worked for a multi-million-dollar real estate company for 2.5 years. There, Cassy learned event planning, customer service, team building, property management and how to plan dream vacations for families all over the world. Since starting with Sweyer Property Management, she has made it a priority to work in each area of property management, so she has a well-rounded scope of knowledge when it comes to all aspects of the business.

Charlotte Yow, a Wilmington native, attended Stetson University and UNC Wilmington. She began her career in property management twenty-five years ago and is a licensed real estate broker. Charlotte has been married for twenty-two years and has one daughter and a stepdaughter. She serves as a board member of First Fruit Ministries and enjoys tennis, needlepoint, gardening, mah-jongg, traveling and anything at the beach. Charlotte's training in customer service enables her to truly listen to her clients and help meet their needs. She has experience in every aspect of property management and uses her comprehensive knowledge to assist her clients in selecting and managing their investment properties.
Dani, a Winston-Salem native, moved to Wilmington in 2017. She received her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from UNCW. She has worked in property management since 2019 with experience in student housing and conventional housing in the Wilmington area. Dani has a passion for real estate and property management and is excited to learn and grow more in these roles.

Jill Hatfield is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in property management, specializing in the management of single-family homes. With roots in Greensboro, she has navigated her career path with an adventurous spirit, embracing the unique opportunities and challenges presented by our coastal community. Throughout her career, Jill has demonstrated a deep understanding of the residential real estate market, successfully overseeing all aspects of property management including tenant/owner relations, maintenance, and proactive strategies to address property concerns promptly, minimize risks, and maximize the long-term value of each owner's investment. Jill's commitment to excellence led her to earn the Residential Management Professional (RMP) designation from the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) in 2024, showcasing her dedication to professionalism and ongoing learning.

Laura is the proud child of parents who served in the United States Air Force. After spending her childhood traveling the country, her family settled in the Charlotte area. Laura completed her education with degrees in Business Management/Accounting and relocated to Wilmington. She has enjoyed a successful career in real estate, having worked in all facets of property management from on-site management to corporate operational management. Laura enjoys working with both owners and tenants to provide outstanding customer service.

Marcy grew up in the Finger Lakes area in Upstate New York, where her family still resides. She moved to Wilmington after three years of living in Rochester, New York, where she worked as a property manager for a family-owned commercial and residential property management company. Deciding that Wilmington was a great place to call home, Marcy has continued to follow her ongoing interest in real estate.
Mary Faye was born in Kenansville, NC, and raised in Rose Hill, NC, a small town in Duplin County. She and her family moved to Wilmington, NC, in 2007. Mary Faye also began her career in real estate in 2007 and has worked in sales and listing and as a closing coordinator. Needing a change, Mary Faye began in property management in 2014 and since then has continued to learn the industry and grow in her role as a property manager.

Melissa moved from the west coast at a young age to Pinehurst, NC, where her family still resides. She attended Appalachian State University where she majored in broadcast communications with a concentration in television. An internship at a local television station made her fall in love with the coast, so after four snowy winters in the mountains, she was ready to make Wilmington her home. After working in the mortgage industry for several years, Melissa made the decision to leave the family business and join the Sweyer Property Management team in 2007. She received her broker's license in 2011 and has enjoyed learning all aspects of the real estate industry. Melissa is a "passionate" Carolina basketball fan and currently lives in Wilmington with her husband and two miniature dachshunds.

Michelle is originally from Rhode Island but has been in North Carolina for 15 years and now considers it home! She married her high school sweetheart in 2005 and together they have three wonderful children and a sweet Mini Schnauzer named Ollie. After moving to Wilmington from Charlotte in 2019, Michelle helped her husband start Grace City Church and began working as a Real Estate Assistant and Transaction Coordinator for a top producing agent in town. Having earned her NC Broker's license, Michelle is excited to be a part of the Sweyer team and serve others in her role as the New Property Onboarding Specialist.

Michelle, originally from middle-Georgia, embarked on her professional journey in 1996. Throughout her career, she has excelled in managing diverse real estate portfolios in multiple markets. Her expertise spans a wide range of properties, including single-family homes, small-to-midsize offsite apartment assets, mixed-use properties, and expansive garden-style apartment communities. In 2008, Michelle achieved the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation from the esteemed National Apartment Association. This notable accomplishment occurred during her tenure as a Senior Community Manager for one of the country's largest Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), situated in the bustling Washington D.C. market. While working in the D.C. market, Michelle earned the President's Club Award two consecutive years for NOI growth within her organization. In pursuit of new opportunities, Michelle and her family relocated to Wilmington, NC in 2009. It was at this juncture that she embarked on a transformative chapter with Sweyer Property Management. In 2010, Michelle further expanded her professional repertoire by obtaining her North Carolina Broker's license. Michelle's commitment to professional growth and excellence continued, leading her to attain the Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation in 2022 through the National Apartment Association. With over 25 years of invaluable experience in the realm of management, Michelle possesses a comprehensive understanding of property management, maintenance, and property management operations.
Mitchell was born and raised in Brunswick County, NC. He attended Appalachian State University and soon returned home after graduating in 2012. Mitchell started a construction business with his father in 2016, in which he learned the ins-and-outs of new construction and renovation. He is a licensed real estate agent with extensive knowledge in all aspects of the real estate world. He currently lives in Whiteville with his wife Tara and his two dogs, Cooper and Leatherface.
Nancy is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. She graduated from Elon University where she majored in corporate communications with a minor in Journalism. A few months after graduating from Elon she moved to Wilmington and has truly made Wilmington her home, having lived here for over 20 years. Nancy's first job opportunity out of college was with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and she then moved on to other opportunities such as working for a local radio company in advertising and leasing and advertising in the apartment community industry. Nancy joined the Sweyer Property Management team in 2004. She has held a few different roles over the years but has found her niche in client services. Nancy and her husband Dan have a beautiful daughter named Mya as well as two fur babies, Chewy and Crosby.

Rica was born in Cebu City, Philippines and grew up in the City of Tanjay, a few hours west of Cebu. She attended the University of San Jose Recoletos and graduated in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in International Studies. After graduating, she moved to Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, where she worked in customer service and insurance applications before joining Sweyer Property Management as a virtual administrative assistant.
Tavia grew up in Mississippi but has been an eastern North Carolina resident for nearly 8 years. She graduated from UNCW with a bachelor's degree in business administration. With a background in administration and a passion for client satisfaction, I'm eager to navigate the exciting world of property management.
