Williamsburg Funeral Home, Inc. was founded in March of 1961 by a group of community-minded men and women. They saw a need for our community and invested their time, efforts and money to create a place where families can turn for comfort and support. They purchased the Koger house on Main Street and outfitted it to offer a complete funeral service. The caring funeral service professionals involved in the startup as management, staff and additional investors, were Robert P. Johnson, James L. Brown, Jr., and W.B. "Billy" McClary. Through the years these investors, who were also community leaders from Kingstree, Lane, Salters, Greeleyville, Trio, Cades, and other communities continued to guide the business as it grew and changed with the needs of the area...
