Elena A. Lentz

Elena A. Lentz is a proud Michigan native, a fierce advocate for her clients, and dedicated family law attorney. Elena is the oldest of five siblings, which gives her a unique perspective on family law issues. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2017, where she participated in the Honors College, Political Science Scholars, and Political Science Advisory Committee. During her tenure at MSU, she completed internships at the Senate Majority Policy Office, Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, and the 6th District Congressional Office. Elena went on to attend Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, where she earned her Jurus Doctor. During law school, Elena was a member of the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality. Ultimately, Elena's student note, "Non Consensual Pornography and the ACLU's Inconsistent Approach" was published, and has recently been cited in a circuit course case in Cook County, Illinois. Attorney Lentz is honored and grateful to be able to serve the Northern Michigan community. When Elena is not in the office or changing clients' lives in court, she enjoys playing board games, reading, and hiking with her Yorkshire Terrier, Boone.

Jordan N. Lindsey, Attorney & Counselor at Law, is an effective and empowering litigator of family law. She genuinely cares about each of her clients and the outcomes of their matters. She has an impressive educational background, as she earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, her M.A. in counseling and human services from Louisiana Tech University, her B.A. in psychology from Michigan State University and her International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma from the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Her background in counseling and psychology, prior to practicing law, has proven to be a valuable asset to her specialization in family law. Patrick J. Wilson has been engaged in the general practice of law since 1963, with emphasis in: estate planning, wills & trusts, probate, real estate, general & professional business, corporate & business law, non-profit organizations, healthcare, labor and school law. Pat was admitted to the Michigan Supreme Court and U.S District and 6th Circuit, Court of Appeals and is a past president of the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association. With a long history of community service, he served as a board member and past president of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and served on the board for the Grand Traverse YMCA. Pat is a former member of the Board of Trustees for Michigan State University, receiving gubernatorial appointments to the State Board of Ethics and the State Officers Compensation Commission. He was named distinguished Citizen of the Year by the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, and Distinguished Alumni by Michigan State University. He is a recipient of the State Bar of Michigan's Kim Cahill Award. Pat was also named Boss of the Year by the Grand Traverse Area Legal Professionals Association. Pat has the unique history of having been a member of both the MSU 1956 Rose Bowl team and the MSU 1957 Final Four Basketball Team. Pat is a former United States Army pilot with a tour of duty to Korea. He married his college sweetheart, Sharalee Carter Wilson, in 1960. They are the proud parents of Shelley A. Kester and four other children, and are blessed with fourteen grandchildren.

Shelley Kester is an award-winning attorney and dedicated family law practitioner who has spent her career advocating for the protection of children and the empowerment of the individual. Shelley is the President of Wilson Kester the Empowered Divorce Source. She is the first attorney from Northern Michigan to have served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. A frequent presenter for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Shelley has participated on the front lines of family law, most recently on the Advisory Committee to SCAO's Friend of the Court Bureau updating after 20 years the Parenting Time Guidelines used by Friends of the Courts throughout the State. Shelley believes in public service, having twice received Governor appointment to the Children's Trust Fund Board and having served as Mayor Pro Tem of Traverse City, Michigan. Shelley has long been an advocate against domestic violence, strongly advocating for the protection of clients from domestic violence, both in court, as well as through her service on the State Bar of Michigan's Domestic Violence Committee. Shelley has spent countless hours coaching family law clients as well as pro bono clients on how to regain their strength and find their voice for a better life. Shelley is a published author to the Family Law Journal for the State Bar Journal and the State Bar of Michigan's Family Law Section. Over the course of her career, Shelley has modeled leadership through her volunteer work with the State Bar of Michigan's Practice Management Committee. She was recognized with the Amelia Schaub Pioneer Award by the Women Lawyer's Association of Michigan - Tip of the Mitt Region and currently serves on the statewide board of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Board (WLAM). WLAM is an organization that promotes equality, and the full and equal participation of women in the legal profession in furtherance of a just society. Shelley was named one of TC Business News' 50 women leaders in business and is founding Board Chair of the Traverse Bay Children's Advocacy Center; an organization Shelley joins with in the fight against child sexual abuse. A frequent recipient of the AVVO top attorney award and AVVO client top choice award, Shelley's calling is to empower the individual through her legal work and leadership of Wilson Kester the Empowered Divorce Source, recognized as among the 500 fastest growing law firms in the nation in 2022.
