Natalie M. Kuehn

Natalie M. Kuehn is an associate attorney with the Barrington law firm of Williston, McGibbon and Kuehn. Natalie focuses her practice on trust and estate administration, real estate, and family law matters. Prior to joining Williston, McGibbon and Kuehn, Natalie practiced law as an associate attorney in the bankruptcy and corporate reorganization group of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, LLP. Additionally, she had the privilege to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael S. Kanne for the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Natalie earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, graduating summa cum laude. While at the University of Illinois College of Law, Natalie was a member of the Order of the Coif, participated in moot court and served as a notes and comments editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. Natalie earned her B.A. from Northwestern University where she studied German and International Studies.

Robert O. Kuehn

Robert O. Kuehn is the senior partner at the law firm of Williston, McGibbon & Kuehn, with offices in Barrington, Illinois. Mr. Kuehn has practiced law in the Chicago area since receiving his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1969. He received a B.A. degree from North Park College in 1966. Mr. Kuehn concentrates his practice in all phases of trust and estate work, with a special interest in advanced estate planning techniques, estate planning for business executives and family business owners. He has counseled professional fiduciaries in the administration of estates and trusts as well as business owners and charitable organizations. He prepares Federal Estate Tax returns involving a variety of tax issues including valuation discounts. In addition, Mr. Kuehn has an active commercial and residential real estate practice. Mr. Kuehn serves as the general counsel for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children (2011-2013, 2015-present). As the chairman of the Board of Governor's for Chicago's Shriners Hospitals for Children (2006-2009), Mr. Kuehn played a vital role in the operations of a hospital with an annual budget in excess of 40 million dollars. He and his wife live in Chicago's northwestern suburbs and are very active with their three children's families, including eight grandchildren. Mr. Kuehn's clients include individuals and families, business owners, corporate executives, bank and trust companies, trustees, executors and other fiduciaries. Mr. Kuehn's extensive estate planning and administration experience enables him to meet and exceed the varied and often unique goals of his trust and estate clients. He provides trusted counsel on complex gift and estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns. Mr. Kuehn litigates in Probate and Chancery Divisions of the Circuit Court. He has handled will and trust construction disputes, trust reformation cases, will and trust contests, and estate and gift tax matters with the Internal Revenue Service and various State Departments of Revenue. Mr. Kuehn received his L.L.M. with honors and his certificate in estate planning from the John Marshall Law School, his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College. Mr. Kuehn is a member of the Trusts & Estates Section Council and serves on the Practice Committee. He is a member of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and served as chairman of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Estate Planning and Probate Committee. Mr. Kuehn is a board member and former president of the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council. Mr. Kuehn also served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago. He has served in this capacity for 5 years. He serves as an executive committee member of Medinah Country Club and is also involved in his church community.
