Dr. Elizabeth Pritts

Dr. Elizabeth Pritts is internationally recognized for her expertise in the treatment of fertility, fibroids, endometriosis, and endoscopic surgery. She is dual-certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. In addition, she completed a surgical fellowship in Advanced Gynecologic Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. Today she is a national leader in the use of robotic surgery for gynecologic disorders. Dr. Pritts served as an assistant professor in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, as a clinical fellow at the University of California at San Francisco, and as an instructor at Yale University School of Medicine. She has authored more than 70 articles for scientific publications and has lectured throughout the world on reproduction and fertility. Dr. Pritts is regularly included in Madison Magazine's list of Top Doctors and, since 2010, has been named to the annual list of Best Doctors in America. She is also on the board of directors for Family Health Ministries, a group that supports education and healthcare in the country of Haiti. Dr. Elizabeth Pritts co-founded Wisconsin Fertility Institute with her husband, Dr. David Olive, in 2007. Dr. Olive retired in 2016, but Dr. Pritts (being far too young to retire) asked Dr. Gretchen Collins to join her in 2018. The two have merged their styles into what they hope is the Dream Team for their patients.

Dr. Meghan Ogden

Dr. Meghan Ogden has been providing health care for women in the Madison area since 2005. A native of Upstate New York, Dr. Ogden graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hamilton College before completing her Doctor of Medicine studies at Upstate Medical University School of Medicine in 2001. While in medical school, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical society for medical students. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2005. She is a board certified fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). Dr. Ogden served as an assistant professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for over 11 years. While there, she was awarded the ACOG National Faculty Award. She then practiced for 4 years in rural Wisconsin before coming back to Madison and practicing with SSM for 2 years. Dr. Ogden is board certified in general obstetrics and gynecology and has extensive experience treating complex gynecologic and obstetric issues, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, PCOS, amenorrhea, recurrent pregnancy loss. Dr. Ogden has worked with Dr. Pritts both in and out of the operating room for several years and the two decided that it was time to officially become part of the same team. Dr. Ogden as spent her career understanding her patients' lives and conditions in order to give patients one on one personalized care and strives to do the same at Wisconsin Fertility Institute.

Dr. Wael Abdel Megid

Dr. Wael Abdel Megid is the Laboratory Director. As both a physician and scientist, he has had a longtime interest in assisted reproduction. His combination of medical training in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as his many years of expert training and experience in ART techniques, provide a unique foundation for the development of a high-quality laboratory environment. Dr. Megid received his medical degree from Cairo University. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at El-Galaa Teaching Hospital, one of the largest and busiest hospitals in Egypt. Following the completion of his residency, Dr. Megid moved to the laboratory where he worked as a senior embryologist and then was personally responsible for opening and directing three IVF laboratories in Cairo, performing more than 1,000 cycles of IVF per year. Dr. Megid earned his Master's degree of advanced studies in Clinical Embryology from Danube University of Krems, Austria and also received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has published numerous professional manuscripts on human infertility and the effects of oxidative stress on DNA fragmentation. He has also attended and presented his work several times at the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Middle East Fertility Society, and the Alpha Society of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Megid's many years of laboratory experience, as well as his postgraduate training in human embryology, have resulted in expertise in micromanipulation techniques such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection, laser-assisted hatching, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, and cryopreservation techniques for sperm, eggs, and embryos. Dr. Megid is a member of the American Association of Bioanalysts and the AAB's College of Reproductive Biology. His laboratory has been certified by the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Megid has been certified by the American Board of Bioanalysts as a High Complexity Lab Director, Andrology Lab Director, and Clinical Consultant. Dr. Megid is married and has two daughters. He enjoys the friendly atmosphere in Madison. His hobbies include traveling and playing racquetball.
