It all started when I moved to Atlanta and was looking for a job. The pace of recruiting in Atlanta is a lot slower and a lot more complicated than what I am used to... For some of the big companies the process was very complex because you had to talk to the recruiter and then to the HR department and then to the team leader and then to the team and then again with the team leader, and so on. With a particular company I have received around 15 phone calls in one month of which most of the phone calls were to tell me that there will soon be another phone call or to confirm that I did get some other phone call. The process was not completed in that one month and there are more phone calls to come. Of course they do not wish to "waste" their time on "real" interviews so this is all done on the phone...
