Brandon Lumm

Brandon Lumm came on with the company soon after its founding and is a Project Executive with ACE. He has nearly 20 years of experience in public works construction, building water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Brandon managed many safe, complicated, and successful projects through the years with ACE and continues to lead skilled, diverse, and quality-minded teams on a range of key projects. Brandon's teams have received many letters of recognition and awards for their work on wastewater treatment plant projects. Prior to starting with ACE, Brandon worked for both Danis Environmental Industries and Beers Construction/Atlantic Skanska, specializing in public works water infrastructure projects. Brandon was born in Toledo, OH, grew up in Largo, FL, and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. There, he was captain of the Varsity Diving and Swimming team, an All-ACC diver, and a school record holder. In his personal time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, racing road and cyclocross bikes. He is also an officer in the Route1Velo/Arrow Bicycle bike club, which helps foster cycling in the community and whose events help fund Maryland Special Olympics teams.

Corey McCarthy

Corey McCarthy is a Vice President of Construction at ACE. He has been with ACE since 2008 and started as a Project Engineer. Over the years, Corey has successfully completed an assortment of complex projects for various clients and municipalities in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a Division Manager, Corey is responsible for leading a team of project engineers, managers and field personnel to complete projects in and around the Baltimore Region. He also mentors ACE's young project engineers to enhance their skills. Corey serves on the Senior Management Team and Business Development group, expanding the capabilities and areas of service provided by ACE. Corey grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Civil Engineering. In his personal time, Corey enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and being an active member at his church.

Jeff Carr

Jeff Carr is the Vice President of Estimating for ACE. He has over 20 years of experience in project management and estimating on water and wastewater treatment facilities. Jeff has been responsible for developing and leading an estimating staff that procures hard bid, negotiated, and design build projects for ACE. The contracts awarded have resulted in growth and positioned ACE as one of the leading water/wastewater contractors in the Mid-Atlantic. Having grown up in Rockville, MD, Jeff graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to working at ACE, Jeff worked in both project management and estimating for Danis Environmental Industries on water/wastewater treatment projects. He holds a Professional Engineering license in the State of Maryland. Jeff is happily married and enjoys being a dad to his two daughters. His interests include sports and running.

Jeff Litwin

Jeff Litwin is the Vice President of Finance at ACE. Jeff started with ACE in 2009 and has worked in many facets of the business including project management, preconstruction, estimating and finance. As Vice President of Finance, Jeff oversees, the Accounting and HR departments as well as being highly involved in preconstruction, estimating, and IT. Jeff has a well rounded knowledge of all things ACE and is excited at the opportunity to continue to grow the company. Jeff is originally from Everybody's Hometown, Media, PA, outside of Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science. Away from work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, and rooting for all things Philadelphia sports.

Jim Voltz

Jim Voltz is a founding partner and Director of Innovation at ACE. He has over 25 years of experience in construction, including commercial and municipal facilities. Jim, along Joe Godin, founded ACE in 2003 with the goal to be the Mid-Atlantic's premier municipal contractor. Jim loves working on complex projects that challenge the ACE Team's capabilities, while helping the ACE personnel to grow in skill and professional development. Prior to founding ACE, Jim worked for Danis Environmental Industries, a general contractor specializing in public works water infrastructure projects. Jim grew up in Waterville, Ohio and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He also is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland. Jim enjoys travel and adventure, with trips to Machu Picchu in Peru, off-roading in Iceland, white water rafting the Grand Canyon, scuba diving, kayaking, and trekking as his free time passions.

Joe Godin - President

Joe Godin is a founding owner and the President of ACE. He has over 20 years of experience in public works construction, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region building water and wastewater treatment facilities. Under Joe's leadership, ACE has grown into one of the leading environmental contractors in the Mid-Atlantic, and it is poised to continue that growth in the coming years. Joe is responsible for managing ACE's growth plan and overseeing all arms of the company including Sales, Finance, Projects & Operations. Prior to founding ACE, Joe worked for PC Construction and Danis Environmental Industries, two general contractors specializing in public works water infrastructure projects. Joe grew up in Milton, VT and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He also holds a Masters of Engineering from the University of Maryland (2000). In his personal time, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, is active as a volunteer in Boy Scouts of America, and is an avid golfer.

Josh Tillman

Josh Tillman is a Vice President of Construction at ACE. He has over 15 years of experience in construction and 13 years in public works construction, constructing water and wastewater treatment facilities and infrastructure in the DMV area. Josh is responsible for managing several key projects at a time, and he does so with the help of a team of project managers, project engineers, and Co-Ops. He also works with project engineers teaching new skills and developing them into project managers. Josh is also involved with the Information and Technology Committee at ACE and is involved with the research and procurement of new technologies. Josh grew up outside of Atlanta, GA and graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During college, he also worked at a survey firm as a project manager. When not working, Josh enjoys traveling with his wife and playing on a softball team in Washington, DC.

JR Speigle

JR Speigle has over 20 years of construction experience. The majority of his experience has been building sewer and water systems across the Mid-Atlantic region. Starting his career working with his father and brother, Justin, as part of Speigle & Sons, JR has extensive experience building environmental construction projects. JR is a Maryland native and graduated from St. Vincent Palloti High School in Laurel. After high school, he attended Pennsylvania State University, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Structural Design and Construction Engineering. With his degree in hand, JR joined Speigle & Sons, working for a decade honing his construction skills, particularly his attention to safety. In 2006, he joined Bearing Construction and soon after Johnston Construction Company; at both companies, he focused on the construction of water infrastructure projects. JR joined ACE in 2013 as Superintendent and has helped build a number of successful projects, particularly the Greensboro Wastewater Treatment Plant that was awarded the Engineering News-Record Mid-Atlantic 2017 Environmental Award of Merit. When JR is not working, he likes spending time on the water, hunting, and watching his daughter play sports.

Kody VanFleet

Kody VanFleet is the Operations Manager at ACE. Kody has been with ACE since 2016, and has been in the construction industry for over 18 years. He was part of the ACE team that constructed the Greensboro Wastewater Treatment Plant, which was awarded with the ENR Award of Merit in the Environmental Project category. Kody began his career as a Project Engineer and has progressed into his current role as Equipment Manager. As Operations Manager, he manages ACE's equipment yard, including a newly-built warehouse. Kody also manages small projects and emergency repair contracts. Kody is originally from the Poconos in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Kody is currently an EIT, and he looks forward to becoming a licensed PE. In his personal time, he enjoys being outdoors, camping, and traveling.

Melissa Beall

Melissa Beall is the Administrative Office Manager and Corporate Secretary of ACE. With over 37 years of managing workers in an office setting, Melissa is a seasoned office manager who has brought positive change to ACE since starting with the company in 2004. Melissa works in all aspects of daily office functions at ACE and has a strong knowledge of the company's business licensing, accounting, payroll, and human resources. Melissa has grown with ACE since its infancy and has contributed to the initial structure of the main office. As the company has grown, Melissa has become adept in training and developing staff and implementing office duties and procedures to expedite work and save costs. Prior to joining ACE, Melissa held an office manager position for many years with a local utility contractor, and, in addition, she held an office manager position with a cardiologist. Melissa is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. Melissa was born and raised in Maryland. In addition to her full-time position at ACE, she maintains a second full-time job, which is raising her two granddaughters (ages 6 and 8). In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends and to read, and she is an avid beach lover.

Reg Godin

Reg Godin is the Talent Director for ACE. Reg started with ACE in 2006 as an intern and quickly progressed to Project Engineer and eventually Project Manager. He has worked on various construction projects for ACE and has demonstrated a strong sense of relationship building and recruiting. In 2011, he left ACE to pursue work outside the private sector. Working for the non-profit FreshFarm Markets and then the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, he gained valuable experience assisting small- to mid-sized farm and food companies develop and grow their businesses. In these roles, he further demonstrated his ability to grow and foster important relationships, as well as a knack for implementing innovative marketing and communication tactics. Returning to ACE as Talent Director in 2017, Reg manages all office and field personnel recruitment, maintains strong relationships with educational institutions, develops and implements workforce training programs, and oversees ACE's marketing and communication strategies. Reg is originally from St. Albans, Vermont and is the younger brother of ACE Executive Vice President Joe Godin. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in 2005 with a degree in Environmental Conservation and was a 4-year member of the UNH football team. Away from work, Reg enjoys playing ice hockey, practicing yoga, and gardening.

Russ Chunn

Russ Chunn has approximately 30 years of construction experience. 20 of those years have been in public works construction in the DMV area constructing water and wastewater treatment facilities and other water infrastructure projects. For the last 12 years, he has been a Superintendent with ACE, supervising over $40 million in construction work and helping ACE grow to 150 on the ENR Top Environmental Contractor list. Russ is a Northern Virginia native and graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria. He attended vocational schools, learning carpentry during his high school years. Upon graduating from high school, Russ entered the workforce in concrete construction, building commercial offices and parking garages around, Washington DC. As he continued his construction career, he began working in the water and wastewater sector, mastering the skills required for the mechanical and process equipment involved in environmental projects. When Russ is not working he loves spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family. When he can get away from all of that, he loves firing up his Harley and getting out on the open road!
