Amy has successfully completed about 45 percent of the examination requirements for becoming a fully-credentialed actuary. She graduated with honors from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota with a major in Mathematics, specializing in Actuarial Science. Amy is married and has three children. She enjoys spending time at her family cabin, reading, walking, traveling, and baking.

Benjamin J. Villnow

Ben holds designations of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). He graduated from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, specializing in Actuarial Science. Ben enjoys playing games and sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Erik Steuernagel

Erik has worked in the property/casualty actuarial profession since 1998 and began work as a consulting actuary in 2022. Prior to joining Actuarial Advisors, Inc., he had worked for Sentry Insurance and the Travelers Companies. His experience includes providing pricing and reserving analysis for a wide array of coverages including management liability, commercial lines and program business. Erik holds the designation of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS). He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics with an Actuarial Emphasis. Erik enjoys traveling, cooking, sports, and reading.

John K. Knapstein

John has worked in the property/casualty actuarial profession since 1999 and began work as a consulting actuary in 2020. Prior to joining Actuarial Advisors, Inc., he had worked for the Travelers Companies / St Paul Companies. He has broad-based experience in reserving, pricing, and reinsurance for corporate and business functions in domestic and international settings. Areas of focus have included corporate actuarial functions, Lloyds of London syndicates, surety bonds, management liability, and construction / oil & gas related risks. John holds designations of Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and meets the Specific Qualification Standards of the American Academy of Actuaries for signing statutory loss reserve opinions in the United States. He graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. John enjoys foreign languages, travel, natural history and time with friends.

Joseph C. Wenc

He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, MA) with a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics. Joe enjoys sports, reading and volunteer mentoring his son's high school robotics team.

Lindsey M. Burgstahler

Lindsey began working in the actuarial profession in 2005 as an intern with Actuarial Advisors, Inc. After graduating from the University of Minnesota (2007) with a degree in Actuarial Science and Risk Management and Insurance, she joined the company full-time. Her primary focus has been on large risk pricing and reserving for captive insurance companies, as well as involvement with self-insurance studies and insurance company reserve work. Lindsey focuses on ensuring data quality in preparation of analyses, spreadsheet design, analysis of reserving and pricing studies, as well as communication of results to clients. Lindsey has successfully completed about 40 percent of the examination requirements for becoming a fully-credentialed actuary, and she is continuing to work towards becoming an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS). Lindsey enjoys running, skiing, golfing, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.

Scott C. Anderson

Scott has worked in the property/casualty actuarial profession since 1988 and has served as a consulting actuary since 2008. Prior to joining Actuarial Advisors, Inc., he had worked for Gross Consulting, Zurich North America, St. Paul Companies (Travelers), Milwaukee Insurance and American Bankers Insurance. He has broad-based experience in reserving, pricing, and risk management for all types of insurance organizations from self-insured enterprises to large multi-national insurers. Areas of focus have included construction related risks, personal lines, reinsurance and captive coverages. Scott holds designations of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (FCA). He meets the Specific Qualification Standards of the American Academy of Actuaries for signing statutory loss reserve opinions in the United States. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. degree, majoring in mathematics. Scott enjoys playing music, reading mystery novels, cooking and getting outside in the Minnesota summer.
