Hamco was established in 1973 as a small grain elevator having a storage capacity of 9,000 bushels. This small operation was started as a partnership between W. Ronald Hodge and Edward Martsoft. Through the 1980's, after Hodge bought Martsoft's share, Hamco began the diversification process.
