Alaska Powder Descents (APD) was established in 2007 by local Juneau guides-friends who worked together as guides in the summer and winter for years. We work guiding helisking and boarding, backcountry touring, and ski mountaineering. In addition to guiding our clients and teaching backcountry skills, our guides have opportunities to work with action sports film crews, including Teton Gravity Research, National Geographic, and Discovery Channel. Whether we are working with professional snow sports athletes or those who are new to the backcountry, we of pride ourselves on offering trips that are tailored to the needs and interests of each individual guest.
