Chris Fruhauf, Principal of Alignment Product Development, draws on four core experiences to help clients reach their goals. A degree in Product Design from Stanford University provides a solid foundation in mechanical engineering with an appreciation for industrial design. At Function Engineering, a mechanical engineering consultancy, Chris fine tuned the hands-on and team leadership skills required to develop mechanical concepts and designs for a wide variety of product categories and manufacturing processes. As a liaison between the mechanical and design groups at Motorola, Chris helped maintain design intent from concept to production. Finally, as a Director of Product Development at a small entrepreneurial company, Master Replicas, Chris took on broad responsibilities for the development and manufacture of projects from start to finish, working closely with marketing and sales teams to understand the broader context of project requirements. These experiences align to provide hands on skills for everyday ME tasks as well as big picture management of projects from concept through production.
