Thanks to the established Allen Recruitment methodologies and the scalability of our internal systems and technology stack, we were well-positioned to meet and exceed the challenges posed by the pandemic. During the period of lockdown, I believe the communication mediums we've settled on here in Allen Recruitment have hit the right tone and have dovetailed nicely into the way our business was evolving anyway. Thanks to our heavy investment in technology and methodology over recent years, literally overnight we are able to switch from an office-based team to a remote team - overall, our business didn't miss a beat. As we grow our presence across Europe and beyond, I think the challenges over the last year or so have provided a real test and validation of our systems and have allowed us to bring forward and tweak the changes needed to be a true multi-regional recruitment provider. For me personally, working remotely from my home in Cork - I have enjoyed the convenience of flexible hours which has led to an overall improved work-life balance. Tell me something interesting about you? I tried myself out working in different areas before engaging with recruitment. One of my favourite experiences was spending a whole summer as a baker in the United States. I baked special wedding cakes and for events with more than 300 participants. There was no place for making mistakes and the pressure was very high, but using my creative side, designing and creating something was a joyful and unforgettable experience.
