Attorney Anna Warburton Munroe concentrates her practice solely in the area of family law. Anna graduated from Wake Forest University in 2003 and then returned in 2006 and graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2009. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar that year and has been practicing family law ever since. She is board certified as a specialist in family law. Anna focuses on all aspects of family law. A passionate advocate for her clients' interests, Anna guides clients through difficult domestic situations and works diligently to help clients achieve resolution of their case, both in the courtroom and through settlement outside of court, while navigating emotional and often challenging family law issues. Family law attorney Cole A Middleton joined the firm after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2021. While at Wake Forest, he served as a research assistant to Dean Emerita Suzanne Reynolds on her family law treatise, Reynolds on North Carolina Family Law. Prior to law school, Mr. Middleton earned his undergraduate degree at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he was awarded the Sherrill-Smith Accounting Award for the highest GPA in Accounting and was a founding member of the school's Student Managed Investment Fund. With his background in finance and accounting, Cole enjoys using these skills to navigate a client's various equitable distribution, support, and financial needs. Environmental and land use law attorney Marsh Prause focuses his legal practice on litigation matters relating to real property, including landlord-tenant litigation, environmental and toxic tort litigation, land use litigation, and title litigation. He handles commercial lease disputes and lawsuits involving retail, office, and industrial properties across North Carolina for REITs and other owners and managers of commercial properties. Marsh's experience extends to representing property owners, local governments, and lenders facing regulatory and valuation issues posed by environmental contamination and liabilities, including situations involving water resources, wetlands, groundwater and soil contamination, underground storage tanks, mold infestation, lead paint, asbestos, brownfields redevelopment, environmental auditing programs, and the valuation of impacted real property for ad valorem tax purposes. Civil litigation attorney George Humphrey was born and raised in Winston-Salem. After serving in the United States Marine Corps and practicing law in Greenville, North Carolina, he returned home and is a member/shareholder in the firm. Karen's practice is concentrated in consumer bankruptcy, estate planning, elder law and commercial leasing. Her practice includes representation of debtors in bankruptcy and financial institutions and other creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings. Karen is known for her diligent work in helping clients weigh various options and make informed decisions about their financial futures. Karen served a three-year term on the Bankruptcy Council for the Bankruptcy Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and has been a lecturer at the Middle District Bankruptcy Seminar. Prior to entering law school, he owned and operated a family retail business and a real estate brokerage firm, experiences which have given him a more comprehensive understanding of the issues and challenges faced by his clients. His law practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial property and business transactions as well as condemnation and foreclosure actions. Scott has extensive experience representing a range of clients from individuals and small businesses to multi-billion dollar companies in acquiring, selling, and leasing real property and business assets.
