For nearly the last two years I lived in Abu Dhabi, the oil-rich capital of the United Arab Emirates, working in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi government on the successful growth of the city's media and entertainment sector. While working in the Middle East, my travels took me everywhere from Beijing to Barcelona as I strove to build an international network.
