Jonathan I. Kislak

After a highly successful experience operating Kislak Capital Corporation, Jon joined Randy at Antares Capital in 1999. Jon is an experienced banker, mortgage banker, and investor with a broad background in business, investments, and government. From 1991 to 1999, he operated Kislak Capital Corporation, a successful investor in start-up and early stage companies. Jon served as Chairman Emeritus of Kislak National Bank until its sale in January 2005. Jon's government experience includes service as Deputy Under Secretary for Small Community and Rural Development of the Department of Agriculture from 1989 through 1991. At the Department of Agriculture, he was responsible for policy development and management oversight for the Farmer's Home Administration, the Rural Electrification Administration, and the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation. Prior to joining the Bush administration, Jon was employed by the J.I. Kislak organization in various capacities in the real estate and financial services markets, including mortgage banking, insurance brokerage, real estate brokerage and real estate development. Jon led the growth of the J.I. Kislak Mortgage Corporation from $300 million to over $5 billion as its President from 1983 to 1989. Jon began his career at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston as a Regional Representative responsible for processing branch applications for the New England region. Jon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard College. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) and Camillus House, Inc. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Advisors of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center at Florida International University.
