It was when he started his career in logistics, warehousing, and shipping management. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

He has an impressive 36-year experience in the private sector spanning various Multinational Corporations, with expertise in operation and financial management. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Management Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering and finished his MBA studies at De La Salle University - Manila.

He started his career in Foreign Service when he joined the Department of Foreign Affairs as Technical Assistant until his last position as Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns, receiving several awards and recognitions. He obtained his degree in Business Administration from the University of the East and passed the Certified Public Accountants Board Examinations. He also attended postgraduate studies at the American University in Cairo and the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business.
