Arbor Consulting, Inc. was founded in 1998 by George Tactikos, after a successful career working for the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation. When he retired in 1996, he left the NYCDPR as the Chief of Technical Services on Randalls Island. His responsibilities included but were not limited to the maintenance of NYC's swimming pools and ice skating rinks, as well as the creation and maintenance of city parks. It was his love of nature, and the desire to protect city trees during construction activities which lead to the birth of Arbor Consulting, Inc. It was Mr. Tactikos' goal to create a company independent of the contractor, or city agencies, who possess the knowledge and skill to monitor and direct contractors on safer practices when working near city owned trees. Since 1998, Arbor Consulting, Inc. has been involved in over a billion dollars of city contracts, and we hope to continue growing even more...
