Developed by Pablo Miranda and Tobi Schneidler at Smart Studio,Interactive Institute RF2 is an interactive architectural prototype, part of the ZKM exhibition Algorithmic Revolution. RF2 exemplifies at the scale of the architectural model, the qualitative principles of spaces that adapt, evolve and learn over time, through the slow sedimentation and erosion of patterns of interaction. RF2 implements swarm-like algorithms similar to those in the Responsive Field of Lattice Archipelogics and Enactive Space... is a simple Genetic Algorithm applet that evolves architectural diagrams. It explores the qualities of design made by machines, devoid of any intention, assumptions or prejudices... Army of clerks explores generative and algorithmic approaches in architecture and design. Its rationale is the investigation of a computed and a computing architecture, one performed through algorithms instead of represented through drawings and projections. Army of clerks seeks a new type of..
